Saige's POV

I woke up to a text saying Keaton wanted me to come over to hangout, like old times. I got my butt up out of bed, bright and early, so I could go over there. When I was done getting ready doing my hair and makeup and all that, I woke Mariana up.

"Mari, do you wanna go to hangout with Wesley, Keaton, and possibly Drew?"

"Ugh, this early? What are they? Crazy?"

"You've known them long enough to answer that one," I mumbled, hitting her with a pillow so she'd get up. She finally got ready after I waited long enough. We walked over to their house, right next door.

"Saige!!" I was greeted with Keaton basically jumping on top of me. We hugged for a very long time. When you don't see your best friend for almost two years, that's what happens.

"Oh Keats, I missed my best friend so much," I almost started tearing up.

"Me too," he said, pulling me in for yet another hug.

"I can't believe you moved next door! This is crazy! We are going to have the best summer ever, okay?"

"It's a deal," I chuckled. He talked to Mari for a bit while I caught up with Drew.

"How has my little bug been?" He asked. He's always called me his little bug. It's cute, and it's never bothered me much.

"I've been great! What about you Mr. Nature God?"

"I've been so amazing! I'm so happy to be seeing you! You always filled my spirit with positive vibes! I love it! I've missed it so much!"

"I've missed your positive vibes too, Drewski," I sighed. He pulled me in for a one-armed hug, and kissed the top of my forehead. Wesley decided to wake up and stroll down the stairs finally. He immediately turned beet red when he saw we were there. He looked down and saw he was wearing only his boxers, so he ran back upstairs, and I heard a door slam.

"Uh, sorry. No one told me we had company," he nervously mumbled when he joined us again, fully clothed.

"No worries," I chuckled at the fact he was embarrassed to be in his boxers in front of me when he never was before.

"So, Keats, what did you have in mind for today?" Mari asked.

"I was thinking we could go to the beach, shred a couple, get some ice cream, I don't know exactly. I just wanted to see you," he chuckled. We chose to go to the beach for a little bit. I didn't even think of inviting Elijah, and I won't hear the end of it when he finds out. We borrowed a couple of their boards, since we didn't have our own at the moment. I've been surfing before, but I can't say I was very good.

The boys all hurried out of Wesley's car to get their boards and go out to the water. I sort of stayed back and hung out by the shore for awhile. I didn't want to, one, embarrass myself, and or two, do anything that I could get hurt doing. I'm seriously an accident prone. Everywhere I am, there's bound to be an accident.

"Hey, Saige! You gonna come out and shred some?" Wesley asked, plopping down next to me in the sand.

"Maybe. I'm not that good, and you know how clumsy I am," I reminded.

"True," he chuckled. "Let me teach you," he insisted.

"Thanks, but I don't think a teacher would do much help with my klutzy self."

"Come on, Saige. It's not that hard! Come here," he instructed, motioning for me to hop on his board that was in the sand. He guided my hips with his big hands, and showed me the movements on how to stay balanced. I practiced in the sand for awhile before actually going out in the water.

"I can't do this," I chuckled, going back to my spot in the sand. He pulled my arm back and wouldn't let go.

"If you do this, I'll buy you ice cream," he persuaded.

"How about you buy me ice cream, and you help me throw a party tonight," I added.

"I can certainly do that," he agreed. I sighed and took the board from his hands. This isn't a good idea. I can already feel it. I paddled out until I reached the part where I was supposed to stand up. I hesitated and looked back at Wesley. He gave me a thumbs up sign. He tried to mouth something to me, but I was too far away to tell what he was saying.

I finally figured out what it was as soon as I turned around and was hit with a mouthful of water. At that moment, I actually thought I was dying.
