Bruises had yet to fade but the relationship between Cherish and Miguel still remained strong. It being the holiday season, meant it was a big time in the Luck-Marie household. Mainly because Christmas time was around the time Klaus and Odette had officially unofficially tied the knot.
This is why Cherish decided to tell Miguel about it, "It's my parent's anniversary and they are having a party to celebrate. My family is flying in since it's close to Christmas. And i was wondering if you'd want to be my date?"
"And meet all of your family?" Miguel worriedly asks as he had yet to officially meet the family as a boyfriend and to then meet the extended family was something he had zero experience with
"If you're up for it?" Cherish asks as it's always only been family at the anniversary celebration - including Omar and Nico of course
So many questions were racing through Miguel's mind that he just asks them all, "How many years of marriage are they celebrating? What should I wear? Do I take a present? Will your family like me?"
"Uh six years of marriage," Cherish answers making sure to answer each question in order "Wear jeans and a button-up, nothing fancy. No presents and my family already loves you because I love you so my aunts and uncles will too"
Miguel totally disregards her admitting she loves him because of the worry of meeting her family as a boyfriend was running through his mind.
"Your parents have only been married for six years? I thought they'd be married at least a decade"
"Uh they didn't want to marry just because they had my brothers and after I came into the picture and they'd realized they were together for themselves and not to keep a picture perfect family they got married" Cherish answers with a tilt of her head before asking her own question, "But that's what you're focusing on?"
"Should I focus on the no presents part and actually take a present?" Miguel asks thinking it was a test
"No," Cherish couldn't help but laugh "What did I say after that?"
