Miguel had been home for two days and in those two days, all he wanted to do was go see Cherish. Only she had yet to arrive from New Orleans and if they texted it was only a few words. So he counted down the hours until Cherish's plane would land.
Within those days it was enough for him to voice his worry and get both good and bad advice. The bad advice came from Demetri and Eli who only made him worry that the couple finally talking meant a break-up talk. The good advice he'd gotten from Johnny was in order to fix things he had to own up to his mistakes, and while he doesn't have to have it all figured out he should be honest.
The two teens had agreed to meet at Miyagi-do since it was neutral territory but mainly because it was most likely no one would interrupt them. Luckily Cherish's plane hadn't been delayed making the time they would see each other be two hours after the arrival of the plane.
Miguel thought he was going to be the first to arrive but seeing someone sitting at the sparing deck he almost took out his phone to text Cherish not realizing that was her sitting down.
"Bambina?"
For having just landed off the plane, two hours ago, Cherish looked really nice. She sported a half up/half down ponytail with a few hairs to fall to frame her face, and eyeliner with pink eyeshadow. All while wearing black tight clothes and the only color on her was the blue on her wrist.
Standing up Cherish smiles, "Hey"
Miguel had so many thoughts in his mind. While it was only a week that the two had been apart Miguel was at loss for words and not for the right reasons.
Trying to internally get his shit together he first says, "Are you okay? What happened to your wrist?"
"Sprained wrist. All should be good in about two weeks" Cherish says finally standing face to face, the last thing she wanted to talk about was the sprained wrist she got from chasing after Nicole
"Look, Cherish, I owe you an apology." Miguel breathes out looking down at his girlfriend who didn't wear her platform shoes making their height difference shine "I shouldn't have abandoned you like that or have made you lie for me. I was trying to start a new chapter and figure out my past. But I wasn't thinking about you. Or us. Or uh really anyone but myself"
