"All seniors are invited to the student center for a lunchtime college fair" The school's PA system announces "representatives from four-year colleges..."
It's how most seniors had the chance to meet representatives sent from some major universities and other not so well-known colleges. Some Seniors decided to eat before walking over to the booths while others chose to look first and then eat. Cherish was one to look first, having already been told by her next class that she could be late for taking a look at the college booths.
The two questions Cherish had asked the five booths she'd gone to were how good their art program was and how far away from Stanford they were. With college brochures in hand, Cherish spots Miguel walking away from the Stanford booth. It was hard not to spot him as his gorgeous curly hair was something Cherish wanted to paint every day she saw it
"Hey Love," Cherish brightly smiles at Miguel who turns and leans down to kiss her lips
"Hey Bambina. Woah, you got a lot of brochures" Miguel says as he goes to take her hand but sees she is holding something
"Nothing to be worried about" Cherish switches the brochure from one hand to the other so they can intertwine their fingers "At least three are close to Stanford."
"Oh, come on. I haven't even gotten in. Please" Miguel shies away every time the topic of him getting into his dream school is talked
"You're getting in," Cherish whispers with a wink as if she has insider knowledge
"Hey!" Demetri walks up to the couple who smile at the sight of their friends
"What's up?" Hawk greets them his blue hair spiked up tall
"Hey guys," Cherish smiles while Miguel just nods in greeting
"All of our trials and tribulations of nerdom have finally come to this. We're the bells of the ball" Demetri declares making it known that the ball was college recruitment
"Is that what we are?" Miguel asks with uncertainty
"Oh, yes, my friend. They are fumbling around our dresses trying to cop a feel of our tantalizing brains" Demetri says which isn't so surprising yet is
