After the Sekai Taikai committee leaving them with good news Cherish went home to quickly shower, tell her parents the good news and eat something before leaving for the party.

"You're going to a party?" Klaus asks sitting at the dining table taking in the information that stopped him from grading papers while his wife slept on the couch. Odette had fallen asleep after Cherish arrived home to tell them the good news

"Yeah, we're celebrating getting into the Sekai Taikai" Cherish was trying her best to make it sound like it was something small - which after hearing from Vic and Amelia who had been invited by Moon Cherish knew the party was not gonna be small

"Are you taking the car?" Klaus questions knowing from the twins and his own experience that high school parties even in the summer had drinking involved. While the three kids did promise their mother they wouldn't do drugs or drink alcohol without parental supervision, promises can be broken for any reason.

"No, 'cause I don't know where I'll park" Cherish answers as she could just take up Johnny's or Carmen's parking space like she does on days she knew they were out but wanted to play things safe

"What time are you leaving the party?"

At the question, Cherish knew her dad was giving her freedom with setting her own curfew and she also knew that she'd have to be reasonable or else her dad will set her curfew, "Eleven?"

After raising two teenage boys Klaus had to learn not to be a parent who leans into double standards. Considering the boys would stay out later than 12 some nights and didn't tell the parents until thirty minutes before that time came. Cherish actually telling him the time she considers to be out made him feel more confident in accepting that late hour, "Okay. If you need a ride-"

"I'll call you, or ask Carmen or Johnny." Cherish states with certainty knowing if it was too late to be getting into a stranger's car she'd play it safe and ask one of the parents for a ride
