With not seeing each other much during practice because the groups were separated and practice was always so draining made the couple feel like they never saw each other. Sure they saw each other during class, in-between class and the occasional shared lunch – they rarely ate lunch together because lunch was always something reserved for Cherish, Amelia and Victoria with the occasional pop in from Scott. It was just that the small moments at school they weren't allowed to be intimate – intimate in a way that they were able to be fully themselves around each other.

The families dinner affected Miguel more than he'd like to admit. He felt insecure about his economic status compared to Cherish's which in the long run could mean bad prospects.

To try to get rid of his nerves Miguel did his best to think about what he knew about Cherish. Not the superficial stuff that everyone gets to see but rather the little weird facts about her. How when she'd look at him for a long time her pupils would widen. Facts he'd learn by just being around her

Like when she was really anxious she'd tap her thumb on all her other fingers or how she'd scrunch her nose in annoyance.

Miguel wasn't satisfied because he knew there must be more he had yet to learn about Cherish that didn't involve random facts. So one miraculous day when they both were alone in his household and ended up doing homework in his room – Cherish on bed, him on his desk with the door open – he sees her sketching over some doodles she'd drawn in class. She painted of course so Miguel could only imagine she'd tried other types of arts as well so he asked

Looking up from her notebook Cherish leaves her weight resting on her arms that made it possible for her not to be fully laying on Miguel's bed, "I can paint in different mediums, sketch and draw. Crayons and color pencils aren't my best art medium but I can get by with them. Um by arts do you also mean skills like singings and dancing and poetry?"

"Yeah," Miguel shrugs not knowing what should or shouldn't be defined under art

Cherish having a mental list starts at the beginning, "I'm an okay singer. Dancing wise I think my strong suit used to be ballet but other than a two-step I wouldn't say it's a skill and poetry uh... don't hate it just like reading it more than writing"
