Turned out Cherish burning the candle at both ends wasn't good for her well-being. Not only was she tired all the time, but she was starting to get sick in the days leading to Junior Prom. She had the dress, the tickets, and a date only thing stopping her from going was the constant snot-filled sneezes, chills when she had a temperature, and frontal lobe headache meaning limit screen time.
When it came to the actual day, Cherish still being sick equaled; No Prom.
