Everyone who was once at Cobra Kai was now being accepted in Miyagi-do, but not everyone switched over. Those who didn't switch had their reasons which varied from not wanting to do karate anymore to not being comfortable with everyone in Miyagi-do.
Things were supposed to be the same and yet different returning to karate lessons. Johnny and Daniel were meant to now have a harmonious relationship as co-sensei's but that was all the students could hope for.
While normally Cherish and Miguel go to karate lessons together they couldn't that afternoon since Miguel was driving in with Johnny and Robby while Cherish had to stay at school for a meeting.
"Hi Mr. Marty," Cherish greets her art teacher for the past three years who at this point was more of an advisor than an actual teacher. He'd said he doesn't have anything else to teach her
"Ms. Cherish" The fifty-something teacher greets her while looking up from his computer screen "Sit, sit"
Cherish does just that sitting on the stool across from the teacher's standing desk and doesn't say anything as the teacher continues to say, "How many competitions are you entering this year?"
"The same as always, why?" Cherish asks considering since freshman year her art has been in all the City and Country fairs around her alongside any art competitions the teacher has found for her to easily compete in from afar.
"I have a friend who's opening an art exhibit in LA soon, she has enough space to let you have your own wall"
"Own wall?" Cherish asks her foot slipping off the stool
"More of a half wall, but it should be enough for you to either create something to put up any of your past art. I sent my friend photos of your portraits and she really liked them, impressed really. She even liked the sketch you created last year for the Valley Fair."
"The bubblegum wrapper?" Cherish asks as the sketch was just something she did as part of a graded project
