The final roster for the Sekai Taikai being set on made the practices be tailored around them. Cherish sat on the floor one hand reaching for her toes while the other was bent over her head. Cherish had made up with Tory and Sam after the sleepover gone wrong. Just cause she had made up with them didn't mean that she wasn't or hadn't been taking things easy when it came to earning a spot on the team.
"I heard Aisha got into UC Santa Cruz." Sam breaks their pre work-out routine "You heard anything from Stanford?"
"No. I've been checking my emails, like, every day, but nothing" Miguel shakes his head as he continues to bend his knee in a stretch
"Hey, don't stress. It'll come." Hawk says as all of them had no doubt in their mind that he wouldn't be getting into the school of his dream "I mean, Demetri hasn't heard from MIT yet, so..."
"Yeah, i did" Demetri states making their heads quickly turn up "I got in"
"What?" Miguel and Hawk ask as they all stop stretching at the news
Cherish quickly stands up, "Congratulations!"
"Well, yeah. Why are you all so surprised? I worked my ass off and earned that spot. That would be like LeBron James getting turned down by the Lakers." Demetri says while mimicking throwing a basketball
"Congratulations, Demetri. It's a really hard school to get into" Sam smiles up at him proudly
"Yeah, it certainly is. Especially when you don't apply. Right, Eli?" Demetri looks over at his friend
Hawk glares at the mention of what was no longer a secret, "Real subtle"
"Hey, man. I'm just saying you miss 100% of the shots you don't take." Demetri shrugs not about to shy about it all
"Alright circle up" Daniel calls out as him and Johnny walk out of the bunglow. They all line up in rows before their Senesi's "The Sekai Taikai needs our final roster in three days. And now that we know who's going it's time for us to name our male and female captains. The captains are not just the leaders of the team. They're the ones that will be fighting in the finals if we can make it that far"
