Miguel and Cherish had gone back on their word of no making out during practice. Technically they weren't making out during practice but before it and considering they were not one for heavy PDA, their teammates were grossed out at the sight of the lovey-dovey couple.
The brave teen to make the couple pull apart for longer than a few seconds to catch their breath was Demetri sighing deeply, "This feels right, having our power karate couple back together"
Having heard that deep sigh from behind them the couple pulls apart to look over at their friends. There were more people in the backyard than they had remembered last seeing. So they take their hands off each other and stand up straight, being able to hear every word Demetri had said. Cherish looks at their friend with a few consecutive blinks, "Power karate couple? When did that title happen?"
"The day you two got together," Demetri honestly replies as he thought it was a well-known fact, even after Tory and Robby had gotten together they were never the karate power couple Miguel and Cherish are. Also considering Tory and Robby broke up there was no other couple in the running
"Sam and Miguel were together," Cherish brings up, doing her best not to let her lips curl as she asks, "were they ever a power karate couple?"
Demetri looks at Miguel and Eli for backup, "Uh this-this feels like a trap"
"Simple yes or no," Cherish says messing further with Demetri not really caring about Miguel and Sam's past relationship, she was there for it all and it was the past
"Bambina don't torture him," Miguel replies arm over her shoulder leaning in to whisper in her ear
"But it's so easy" Cherish whispers back her breath lingering on his neck
Demetri, thinking he had gotten off the hook with answering that question was pulled back into it by Cherish asking. "So?"
"It's so good to see you both together, happy. Happily together. Together being happy." Demetri tries to save face
Eli jumps in to save Demetri from his misery, "You should have seen Miguel while you were away, all mopey. Waiting for you to come back, counting down the seconds, and wondering if you were going to break up with him"
