Your POV

I sob and sob until there are no more tears. Hiccup, he stayed by my side the entire time. Not a word. He let me get what I bottled up for 5 years out. Slowly I begin to calm down. Once I finally calm enough for words to be understood he asked me if I was okay. I said I was fine, but his expression told otherwise.

"(y/n)? If your okay, do you mind telling me why you broke down and ran from the house?" Hiccup asked. I take steady breathes and begin to tell him my past. Not once did he interrupt, he listened fully. His eyes showing interest and worry, but also showing caring and compassion. I was alone until I met (d/n), then I met Hiccup and Toothless, then Hiccup's friends, etc. I started to feel at home. They all seemed to care for me.

But the most was Hiccup. He cared for me since he first met me. He was so kind and caring. He worried about me. He knew I felt lonely, and came to comfort me in my dark time. He listened to my past and took the time to wait until I calmed down.

This feeling I felt towards him when I met him, I finally figure out.

I love Hiccup Haddock.

"(y/n) I'm so sorry about your loss." Hiccup says, bringing me into a warm embrace.

"Yea, I am too." I say quietly.

We break apart, and sit quietly. The only sounds filling the air was the birds chirping and the wind blowing through the grass under our feet. I take a brave move and look up from the ground. To my surprise I see the cute auburn haired Haddock staring at me.

"Thanks Hiccup, for comforting me. I kept those sad feelings bottled up for the past 5 years, and when I look at your mother's eyes and yours I just instantly think of my mother's green eyes." I say laughing nervously.

"Hey, no problem. I'm here for you. And here I will always be." Hiccup states.

I'm taken back by his statement. It sounded like he liked me more than a friend. Okay, no that wasn't it, he is just trying to comfort me, thats what friends do.

"Thank you Hiccup." I say.

"Well, its getting late, mom is probably worried about us." Hiccup states pointing to the starry night. I hadn't realized we was out for so long.

"Oh yea your right, well lets hurry before we get in trouble." I say jokingly.

"Race ya?" Hiccup asks with his one of a kind crooked smirk.

"Yea, but you better hurry cause your eating our dust Haddock!" I say hoping on (d/n) and flying off as fast as we could.

RACE SKIP

"Once again I beat you Haddock." I say smirking at him.

"Yea, yea, we went easy on you, we're tired, your tired, lets just go to bed." Hiccup says holding the bog door to the Haddock house open. We walk in and we see a note on the little table near the fire place. Hiccup goes and picks it up to read it.

'Went out to take care of a dragon problem, left fish for you dragons in your rooms.

-Valka'

"Mom, just had to do an errand nothing to be worried about," Hiccup assured me.

"Toothless, (d/n), your food is upstairs in my room!" Hiccup called to our playful dragons. They heard the word fish and ran to the destination. Me and Hiccup right behind them. We entered Hiccup's room to see happy dragons gulping down fish. I tell Hiccup to leave for me to change and he listens. I change, and I hear a knock on the door. I open it to see a pj wearing Hiccup.

"Hey, just wanted to check up on you." He says with a smile.

"Oh I'm fine, and Toothless fell asleep, but don't bother to wake him, he looks to cute." I say pointing to the playful dragon. I noticed that (d/n) and Toothless's tails are almost intertwined, Hiccup notices too and we both chuckle a bit.

"Well, goodnight (y/n). I'll see you in the morning okay." Hiccup says. He goes to walk off but I grab his wrist and stop him.

"Hiccup, this may sound strange, but can you, uh, stay here with me tonight, I'm kinda of..." I stutter off.

"Of course, but only if your okay with it." Hiccup says. I nod my head and let him in. He grabs a blanket from the end of the bed and sits in a comfy chair.

"What are you doing?" I ask bewildered.

"Sleeping in a chair. You take the bed." Hiccup says.

"No, no, come on. It'll be fine, come sleep with me." I say walking over t the bed side.

"I don't know (y/n)...I mean are you..." before he could finished I pulled him down in the bed, and got under the covers with him.

"Goodnight Hiccup." I say. I hear a chuckle from the goofball.

"Goodnight (y/n)."
