Me and Fishlegs set off on our dragons and scanned throughout a small part of the forest Fishlegs said that the Night Terrors would be at.
Fishlegs mentioned that there are little over 500 Night Terrors. Wouldn't be a surprise since that all those Night Terrors make up on giant one to scare off predators.
"So, if they hide from us, how are we suppose to take count?" I asked Fishlegs. He mentioned they liked to hide.
"Oh, with a Night Terror call. It goes a little like this." Fishlegs says. *does a weird loud call* (not for sure what sound they do.)
"Oh okay, let me try." I say. *does the same call*
"Wow, that was perfect (y/n)!" Fishlegs exclaims happily.
"Thanks." I say. After I thanked him, all kinds of little black Night Terrors. They was cute in a way.
We land our dragons down and all kinds of Night Terrors gather around me. (d/n) wraps herself around me protectively, but I calm her down. I kneel down and start to pet one of them. I laugh as they all start to gather around me further and start to all lick me. I could see (d/n) siting to the side turning green from envy. I turn towards her while standing and holding one of the Night Terrors in my arms.
"Aw, is the little baby jealous?" I say in a baby voice. She turns her back towards me as she sits on her hind legs.
"Don't worry (d/n) no dragon could replace you." I say stroking her neck while still holding the Night Terror in my other hand. The green slowly fades as she turns a slight yellow.
"I can't count them properly, there're all too huddle up." Fishlegs groans. I could tell Fishlegs was struggling so I decided to see if I could get the Terrors to cooperate.
I made a whistling noise and made a motion with my hands towards the Terrors. They seemed to understand what I wanted them to do, cause they made a nice line of them along the shaded area we was in.
"(y/n), how'd you do that? That was amazing!" Fishlegs exclaimed.
"I don't know to be honest. I make this whistle if I need (d/n) to do something for me. The hand motion, I honestly didn't think it'd work." I proclaim.
Night Terror Counting Later
"Wow, that took forever." I claim exhaustedly.
"Oh, don't worry (y/n), it gets easier as time goes on doing it." Fishlegs says.
We packed up the attendance scrolls and as we was getting ready to take off, we see Hiccup and Toothless fly by in the distance checking the perimeter.
After we mount, we take off back towards the outpost. When we get there, we land right near the dome. Everyone was almost there except one person.
Hiccup. Not a surprise.
"So, (y/n) want to try to beat the dome?" Astrid says as she walks up beside Fishlegs.
"Beat the Dome?" I ask confused.
"Its a game we play here, you take this obstacle course we set up-" Tuff was saying before his sister took over.
"And when you reach a certain point, we pull that lever over there-" Ruff stated while pointing towards a lever not to far from the dome.
"And you try to get out of the dome before the doors close. Hiccup as been the only one to be able to beat it so far." Ruff finishes.
"Uh, sure, we'll try." I say looking towards (d/n).
As I mount on, Astrid explained the course to me. As we got ready Snoutlout blew a horn and we set off.
(I honestly don't know the exact course from the series of Race to the Edge, but i do know the last part if you guys know what I mean)
We had to go around the entire island, but cut off through the tallest mountain. Once I cut through the mountain I had to fly over the forest and through the standing rocks on the other side of the island in which they called the maze of rocks. once through there, I would be seen exiting. Astrid would be on the look out for me exiting. When she sees me, she'll signal Ruff and Tuff to pull the lever. From there, I have to go through an underground cavern that's directly underneath the dome. As he door close rapidly, I have to go up the crack on the ceiling of the cavern that is the floor of the interior of the dome. When I get through the crack, I have to exit the dome, before the door close.
I'm currently exiting the Rock maze and hear Astrid give the twins the signal. Me and (d/n) race into the underground cavern and find he crack in the ceiling, we go through the crack to see the doors only about 4-5 feet from closing we race towards the door and escape the door just seconds from the door trapping (d/n) tail.
The gang comes up to me as I dismount from (d/n) and they all give me a group hug. Me and (d/n) do a small victory dance at the little game we won.
"Guys, not only did (y/n) beat the dome, she beat Hiccup's record!" Fishlegs exclaims holding his time counting calculations on a piece of paper up for all of us to see.
They all cheer when they hear the news.
"So, me and Toothless have some competition." I hear a familiar voice speak out. I turn to see Hiccup taking off his helmet he had and fixing his hair.
"Yes you do Haddock and you better watch out." I say playfully poking my finger at his chest. I intentionally poke the button that makes his back fin pop up. When it does I laugh and so does the gang.
"Oh, ha ha, very funny." Hiccup says, before I'm pulled towards him and he kissed me on the lips. I grab one of his arms and cup one side of his face. The kiss doesn't last long before we hear a bunch of gags from the twins and Snoutlout.
Astrid gives them a glare before making them pay, by kissing Fishlegs. Fishlegs was surprised at first before he relaxed. The twins and Snoutlout all gagged again and ran back to their huts. it was getting late so we parted ways. Fishlegs had asked about what we're going to do about the new Dragon Eye information. Hiccup responded by telling him that he'll look at it tonight. We parted was and went to our huts.
"Want to help me with the new info on the dragon eye?" Hiccup asked as he pulled me closer to him by wrapping an arm around my waist.
"Sure I got nothing else to do." I say. We reach his hut and send our dragons off to go to bed after having (d/n) lights up the place at the fireplace and with the dragon eye. Hiccup quickly copies the info into his journal and sits down beside me by the fire place.
We talk about possibility before I start to feel drowsy. Hiccup had been laying on the floor with his journal hoisted above his face with his hands.
"Hiccup, me and (d/n) are going to be off now. Okay." I say.
He removes his journal from is face to show a pouty face. (Image Inserted)
"Don't give me that face. I'm going to my new hut that my new family and friends built for me. Don't want it to go to waste. Love you. I'll see you tomorrow." i say getting up and kissing his forehead.
I go to walk off, but to be jerked down and kissed right on the cheek.
"Love you too. Sleep well." Hiccup say as he finally lets me leave. I just smirk and shake my head.
This viking will be the end of me.
