Your POV
When I wake up the birds are singing, the birds are chirping, the wind is blowing, the sun is shining, and my dragon is trying to kill me with kisses.
"Ugh, (d/n) get off girl! I'm up! I'm up!" I exclaim. (d/n) gets off of me and quits 'kissing' me so I can get the nasty silva off and get ready for our training this morning.
I put on my (think like Astrid's outfit cause I can't think of anything else), the usual and head downstairs with (D/n) about knocking me down to get to Toothless. I swear, they are going to kill me and Hiccup with their bond with each other. On the other hand, although, me and Hicucp have a 'bond' I guess. It sucks he has a meeting again today, but a perfect opprnunity to work with (d/n) and work n Hiccup's gift.
I head into the kitchen to see Valka eating breakfast. I hope she didn't cook it. Thats when I seen a plate beside her with my name in it.
Dear (y/n),
Heres breakfast, I had to leave really early this morning for the meeting and I didn't want you to die from mom's cooking so I cooked something up for ya. Enjoy!

I laughed at Hiccup's comment of his mother's cooking and how he left his full intials on the note. I put the not in a little pocket I had and dug into the food.
When I was done eating, I waved goodbye to Valka and hoped on (d/n).
"Okay girl, you ready for a morning training session?" I asked petting her neck. She crooned and took off without any sort of warning.
"Don't ever do that again please, I almost fell off." I warned her.
She crooned her crooney laughing took off in a steady pace towards the forest spot we was at yesterday.
When we landed I was thinking of some techniques I could teach (d/n). I only had 2 to teach her, one was the upward spiral and the last one was a special kind of trick. The trick is where (d/n) will let me slide down her back until I reach her tail and se flings me into the air following me as I go. I send her her further below me where she is gliding by herself. I was thinking of using this trick on Astrid in desperate measures as a backup if I'm behind. As (d/n) distracts the other rider and its dragon with her blinding fire, I'll free fall and land on that rider's dragon, snatch what I need, or do what I need to do, before they realize what is happening and hope back on (d/n) and race off. I call this trick, The Blinder, because the opponent will be to blind to know what was happening.
"So are you ready girl?" I ask her petting the top of her head. She nodded.
"Then lets start." I say.
3 Hard Hours of Training Later
"Okay, last time, (d/n)!" She nods her head.
"Okay, (d/n)! Blinder!" I yell over the wind. I slide down her back and into the air. She glides down as fast as she can, shoots some fire as a sign she distracting the opponent, I free fall back down and land on the saddle. I'm not able practice landing on a different dragon if necessary, but this will have to do.
"Okay, its time we go work on Hiccup's shield ready?" I asked. She nods and takes off towards Gobber's.
Hiccup's POV
The real meeting actually ended really early today. Since (y/n) was out training, I thought I could go and work on her necklace. I had to walk, I was giving Toothless the day off. When I got to Gobber's I saw him talking to a customer, but I heard some tools clanging and banging in the shop. I walked pasted Gobber and into the shop. When I entered, I saw someone was in the back room with the curtains closed. I didn't want to give myself so easily, but I was able to see who was in the back room through an opening in the curtains.
It was (y/n) and (d/n). They appeared to be working on something. I saw (y/n) using one of her crystal tools she brought from her cave home on a shield? Why in Thor's name is she making a shield? When she held it up to see how her work was progressing, the shield was covered in solid crystal. She then held it up like a crossbow and pressed a button, which turned the shield into a crossbow.
That reminds me of a certain shield. She pressed the same button and it turned back into a shield. She then pressed a different button and it launched a lasso from the center of it, pressed it again, and the rope retracted. Another button was pushed a slingshot appeared, pressed the same button again and the slingshot disappeared. I watched for a while longer, while she carved a dragon into the smooth solid crystal. It was a night fury with part of its tail fin is red.
My Gods, she is recreating my shield from when I was younger! But with the crystals she found, from what I studied they was stronger than the Gronkle iron.
How did she find out about my old shield? Fish legs must have told her about it. He was telling her about parts of my past while at the grand hall before. She must have caught interest in the shield story.
I decided I was done ease dropping on her, before Gobber walked back in I was able to grab the tools I needed to finish the necklace and head back home.
I'm going to finish this gift for her.
I just hope she'll like it.
