Chapter 29

Your POV

Just as we was millimeters apart we.....

Quickly separated as we heard Valka coming into the cave.

"Hiccup, (y/n), where are yea?" I heard Valka calling us as she entered the cave.

"In here Valka." I called her in. Wow, thats awkward.

As she walked into where we was, she keeping turning and looking all around the cave. When she saw us she smiled.

"Ah, there ye are. (y/n) this cave is amazing. Its so beautiful, and the crystals, sadly, we are taking out." Valka said.

"I know what you mean Valka," I say grabbing her forearms.

"Luckily for I drew the cave before we do anything. I think you'l like it." I say. I walk over to Hiccup and go through the bag he is holding. Once I find the folded up paper I was looking for I gave it to Valka. When she opened it up, I could see a brim of of tears in her eyes.

"(y/n), this, this, is beautiful, it looks so real, oh my gods (y/n) you have a gift. Hiccup look at this." Valka exclaims. She hands the picture over to Hiccup and he takes it from her to inspect it. I see his eyes go wide as he inspects it more.

"(Y/N), moms right, you have a gift, this is really amazing." Hiccup exclaims. Before he and Valka could agree and compliment me and I say its nothing, really it nothing, I hear Snoutlout, Fishlegs, and the twins.

"Lets go, lets go people, times a wasting." I hear Fishlegs.

"Ah (y/n), there you are. This cave is amazing! Come on and take a walk with me, I'd like you to tell me all about this place, please, please, please?" Fishlegs begs.

 

"Back off Fishlegs, she obviously isn't going to cause she'll be too busy walking me around." Snoutlout barked.

 

"Nuh uh, she'll be walking us around!" The twins barked. The little group kept arguing until I spoke up.

 

"Guys, I'll walk you all around the cave alright." I say nicely.

 

"Yea, that works too." Snoutlout says scratching the back of his head.

 

"Okay, come on I'll show you guys around. I'll talk to you two later okay." I say towards Hiccup and Valka.

 

"Oh, uh, okay, I'll see you around (y/n)." Hiccup says waving to me. I wave back while running over to the little group and start to show them around the cave.

 

Hiccup's POV

 

As she runs off to the group a voice erupts me from my thoughts.

 

"You almost kissed her didn't you." My mom says.

 

"What, no, we was just uh......organizing papers." I say blushing madly.

 

"That may also be true, but don't lie about the kiss, you almost kissed her here and back after the competition between her and Astrid. Just ask her out Hiccup. She may say 'yes'." My mom say poking my cheek.

 

"Yea and she may say 'no' too. I don't know mom, she just so beauitful, nice, kind, caring, compassionate and much more, but I couldn't stand up to her expectations." I say scratching the back of my head. Then my mom smacks the back of my head.

 

"Ow!, Why'd you do that?!" I asked rubbing the spot she hit me.

 

"For thinking you know her expectations! Hiccup, I've seen the way you look at her, and the way she looks at you! Its the same way me and your father looked whe we was in love. Don't let her slip through your fingers Hiccup! When you find someone that is so much like you and have so much in common with, don't let the oppornuntity slip." My mother exclaims. She was right. (y/n) was an oppornunity and I intend not to let that slip. I'll ask her out sometime after we are done here. But not now, not here, I don't want to pressure her, she's already worried about this expedition.
