SNOGGLE TOG DAY
Your POV
I woke up with a jolt. I sat straight up in my bed and got up really quickly. I got dressed and woke (d/n) up.
"Luna, come one. Today's SNOGGLE TOG DAY! Hurry, go grab your gift for Toothless and the other dragons. I'll grab mine for the gang." We both rush different directions grabbing our friends' gifts. When we both came back we had all our gifts in two huge bags.
"Alright, let's head over to the grand all." I tie the bags to (d/n)'s saddle and we head out of our house and start to walk over to the grand hall.
As were walking, I see people whispering, some of them celebrating......but why whispering?
I met up with the original gang at the grand hall doors. When we entered, the whole grand hall was decorated so beautifully. Wreaths were hung everywhere, along with shields, etc.
"Come on (y/n)! It's time to celebrate! Then we can all exchange gifts." Astrid proclaims. I untie my bag from (d/n) and untie the other one and take them over under the giant pine tree and set them there for now. Although one special one stays in my pocket.
I rush over to the others while (d/n) rushes over to their dragons to begin playing.
"Hey guys!" I greet.
"Hey!" They all greet.
"The ceremonial dance is suppose to commence if you have a lover you know...me and Fishlegs are doing it, along with Snoutlout and Beth, Ruff and Erey, and Heather with Aadolf." Astrid states.
"Really? I want to do it! Bu I haven't seen Hiccup at all yet. He must be busy trying to keep everyone at bay with this big event. I'm going to go look for him. Maybe he needs help." I say. I rush off to go find him. I see (d/n) found Toothless with his father Theo and his mother Mia. I smile knowing Toothless found his parents.
I keep walking around till I'm on the dance floor unconsciously. I keep looking around to find Hiccup, but with no such luck. Suddenly everyone in the grand hall piles in on the dance floor as they play a song.
I know that song too well.
"I should probably get off the dance floor..." I think out loud to myself.
"Nah, your staying here with me." A voice says from behind me. I jump and turn around to see Hiccup.
"Oh, its you. You scared me. I was looking for you. Do you need any help with the celebration?" I ask frantically.
"No, but I do need something....." He strays off.
"What is it?" I ask.
"For you to dance with me." Hiccup says as he grabs my hand and leads me to the center of the floor.
He starts to whistle the tune of the song along with the musicians, just like my father did with my mom. We start to dance moving our feet in a square.
"I'll swim and sail on savage seas. With ne'er a fear of drowning." He sings along. He spins me around with a smile plastered on our faces. He spins me into him and see his handsome smile.
"And gladly ride the wave of life...If you will marry me," he sings. He spins me again again where my back is against his chest while crossing his arms across my chest.
"No scorching sun, Nor freezing, Will stop me on my journey." He sings. We start to sway side to side as he continues to sing.
"If you will promise me your heart. And love..." He strays off for me to pick up. Uh, no. What will all the people say if they hear me. I.....uh.....I have to make a decision.
"And love me for eternity," I start starts off. I've known this song from the bottom of my heart. Meaning every word I sing.
I turn around and take hold of both his hands as he looks into my eyes. I see the same smile I fell involve with.
"My dearest one, my darling dear. Your mighty words astound me," I sing. We start to circle each other with our hands intertwined.
"But I've no need of mighty deeds. When I feel your arms around me." I sing. I spin, causing his arms to wrap around my body, resting on my stomach without our hands breaking.
"But I would bring you rings of gold. I'd even sing you poetry." He sings. We start to hope from one foot to another, bouncing to the beat the dragons start to dance all around us.
"And I'll keep you from all harm, if you will stay beside me." He continues. He spins me back around as we stand side by side, the other facing the opposite direction. We stare at each other for a moment before putting up our left arms and pressing our forearms together and start to circle, and bounce to the rhyme.
"I no use for rings of gold, I care not for your poetry. I only want your hand to hold." I continue. We switch opposite directions and continue to circle each other.
"I only want you near me!" He sings. He grabs hold of my hand while wrapping his other around my waist pulling me into his chest.
"To love to kiss to sweetly hold. For the dancing and the dreaming. Through all life's toils and delights," We sing in unison. We start to bounce and sway to the rthyme.
"I'll keep your love beside me. I'll swim and sail on savage seas, with ne'er a fear of drowning. And gladly ride the wave of life if you will marry me!" We finish, but Hiccup picks me up and spins around causing me giggle.
He sets me down as we hear everyone in the grand hall applause at our performance.
"(y/n), I need to ask you something....." Hiccup whispers. I turn to him, but he was interrupted when Valka screamed.
"Everyone! Its time for the present exchange."
"Hey tell me later okay, let's go give our gifts to everyone." I smile and kiss him on the cheek and run off to find my bag filled with presents.
