Chapter 32

~~FlashBack~~

Val's POV

Me and (y/n) was taking our turns in the very back of the cave watching all the mining take place. We talked and supervised as we was to do, but then a Viking came to us and said they came up on something weird. We walked over to see what was wrong when (y/n) finally figured out what was wrong.

"Its just a air pocket, we need to be careful. I don't know where exactly it is, but if someone was to hit the exact spot, then a gush of air will be blasted out." (y/n) explained. She took a pickaxe from one of the vikings and told everyone to stay back. I had every brace themselves overtime she went and hit a part of the cave wall.

Clink. Clink, Clink, Clink.

(y/n) continued to hit the wall, while bracing herself after every swing with us along with her.

"I think it was just a false alarm." (y/n) said as she hit one more spot on the wall and a gush of air sent her back flying. I tried to catch her, but she flew back way to fast for me to catch her.

~~FlashBack End~~

"And thats what happened, to where we are now." I explained to Hiccup. We got (y/n) to the doctor's tent and I helped bandage her up and see if she had any other injuries. Luckily she just hit her head and had to just get a few stitches. Everything else was fine.

"Thank Gods." Hiccup sighed as he sat next to her. I can see how much he cares for this girl. I wish he would just tell her soon. His chance will soon slip sooner than he thinks.

Hiccup's POV

After hearing what happened I was relieve slightly to see she was still breathing. She is still knocked out, but alive thankfully. I sent my mother to go back to her post. She kisses me on the cheek and leaves me alone with (y/n).

"Come on (y/n) wake up." I whisper while holding her hand.

As time goes on she is still in a slight coma and I'm starting to get worried. Its getting darker outside and the doctor said I could take her back to the cave since it might be warmer in there since the temperature literally drops. I nod and thanked the doctor before carrying her bridal style back into the cave. When I walk in I see (d/n) being comforted by Toothless. When I walk in with (y/n) in my arms. (d/n) bounds over to me. I smile at her and walk over to where (y/n) made her make shift bed from last night. I lay her down while (d/n) comes up behind her and lets her head rest on her side. I smile at there friendship. It reminds me and Toothless.

"Toothless, come help me with the fire, we have to keep (y/n) warm until she wakes up." I whisper over. Toothless quietly comes over and breathes onto the fresh wood I put in the pit. After the fire picked up, I took off my armor and laid back down on my make shift bed. When I laid back (y/n) shifted a little. I jumped at the sudden movement, but was relieved she's coming too. I say she'll be awake by morning.

"Goodnight (y/n)." I whisper.
