Why Me? (Older Hiccup and Reader)

Chapter 75

(Hiccup is crying about losing his dad, and the beam of light is a reference to the first movie when Stoick left him. His dad left him a second time, and this time he can't come back. That's what the picture describes basically. I though it was actually very sad and made me cry guys.)

Your POV

We flew away as fast as we could from the ship. I was enraged. I'm going to get my revenge. 

Me and Hiccup spilt up. Hiccup went to help his Mom and Fishlegs while I helped with the rest of the gang. 

About an hour past and the entire village was silent. A few squawks and growls from dragons, but the rest was entirely quiet. We was all waiting for Dagur's ships to comment from the fog that hovered over the dark depth of the ocean. 

I look around to see all the expression known to be on viking warriors when going into a battle. 

Rage.

Despair.

Hesitation.

Fear...

I feel the same way. I want to kill Dagur, but then I don't think I'll be able to live with the fact that I killed someone. 

'Mom...Dad...Please watch over me in this battle. Guide me to make the right choice.' I silently pray.

The sound of the battle horn rang throughout the village. Waking warriors from their living nightmares of what may or may not happen. 

"To Battle!!!!" I cry out. 

The sound of viking cries fill the air as Berserker ships land on shore. Viking charge and bombard the ships. The sound of metal clanging. 

Dragons picked and dropped enemy vikings into the water. Dragons spread their breathe of nastiness at the ships on shore destroying their catapults and larger weapons. 

I hear the cries of viking fighting. The cries of agony. The cries of pain. The cries of rage.

I signal (d/n) to continue helping with the other dragons.

I jump of of her as I jump onto the shore. I draw out my Inferno and start to join the fight. A large berserker charges at me. He swings his double edged axe at my head. I duck under and knock him off his feet with a low sweep. He fall flat on his face. He flipped over and I hit his skull with the butt of my sword handle to knock him unconscious. 

I fight more and more enemies. Knocking them unconscious. (d/n) had my back a few times, coming to my rescue when a enemy was coming my way and me unaware of it. She didn't kill them, but knocked them unconscious as I told her too earlier.

The battle was still going on. Fishlegs informed me that we had injured, but no fatalities.....yet. 

I fought off yet another viking when I see Hiccup fighting Dagur. Toothless with (d/n) except bounded from place to place as he fights off enemy vikings on the ground. I race over to where the fight when on. They was on the commanding ship. I signaled (d/n) to come get me and she flew low and fast, as she whizzed past me, I grabbed the side of the saddle and mounted on. I showed her to go to the mass of the commanding ship. When we was right above I jumped on to the bird's eye view area and told her to stay back unless something drastic happened. I signaled Toothless to stay back unless absolutely necessary.

As they flew away, I saw that Dagur, nor Hiccup noticed the dismount. I looked below to see Hiccup fighting with so much rage. 

"Your going to lose dear brother!" Dagur proclaimed. 

"Not to you, you deranged son of a B****!" Hiccup exclaimed. Hiccup rarely ever cursed, so you knew he was enraged if he cursed. 

Dagur took a low sweep at Hiccup, but Hiccup jumped and came down on Dagur with the momentum he gained. Hiccup punched him right in the face. Dagur dodged just barely. They took their stance once more. Dagur charged at him swinging at him at random. Hiccup blocked all the attempted swings. Dagur kept backing him up. Hiccup decided to run towards the mass with Dagur on his tail. When Hiccup came to the wall, he ran up the wall and backflipped off. Dagur watch with a dumbfound expression as Hiccup pinned him to the ground. 

Aw....he does learn. 

I see a viking come up behind Hiccup while Hiccup knocks Dagurs sword away.

"Hiccup behind you!" I yell out. Hiccup turns around rapidly fighting off the other viking. He knocks the axe out of his hand. Suddenly the viking took out a sword and threw it behind him. 

Slightly confused I see Dagur had gotten up and caught the sword.

"Bye dear brother." Dagur hissed. Hiccup attempted to block, but only managed very little to make the sword to stab him on his left abdomen. 

Hiccup let out an agonizing cry. His Inferno dropping from his hand as he falls to his knees.

"NOOOOO!" I cry out. I signal Toothless and (d/n) to take care of the viking coming at us as i took care of Dagur. I climbed/jumped down from the position I was at has I made swings at the monster. 

Hiccup's POV

"Ah, so my prize as come to avenge her precious little boyfriend." Dagur cooed. I gripped my wound tighter trying not to loose more blood than I have. (y/n) kept swinging and getting hits on him with hand or feet contacts. I crawled over to the side and sat up trying help her. I try to get up, but wince as the pain went through my body from my shoulder.

"He's not just my boyfriend!" (y/n) exclaimed. I see her swing with much force. 

"He's my best friend," She knocks him off his feet. My vision starts to blur. 

"He's my partner," She bring her sword down in a powerful swing down at his form as he blocks it. 

"He's my warrior," Dagur tried to push force onto his sword as I see he is loosing his grip. I'm starting to loose myself to the darkness.

"He's my chief," She knocks his sword from his grip as she holds her sword close to his throat.

"And lastly, he's my world." I hear her say as she grips his neck and slams him into the mass. That's the last thing I hear before I let darkness take over.

Your POV

"That's the man I love. That's something you'll never be." I spat. I drop my Inferno and grab a small Dagger from my waist belt and stab Dagur in his side. I stabbed him where it wouldn't kill him although.

"And that's for my parents you sick mother-f*****" I hissed into his ear. I slam his head into the mass knocking him out cold with my face the last thing he sees. 

I drop his limb body to the deck floor as I rush over to Hiccup's aid. I see he passed out from shock. i grip his shoulder as I signal Toothless and (d/n).

"Go find Valka Toothless. (d/n) find Fishlegs and hurry!" I ordered. 

(d/n) flew to find Hiccup as Toothless bounded and ran to find Valka.

"Hiccup wake up. Come on. Wake up!" I exclaim.

I put his head on my lap as I keep a tight grip on his wound. All the sounds of battle fade as I focus on Hiccup.

"Don't you leave me too...." I feel hot water prick at my eyes. I don't hold them back as I let them fall. 

"Don't you die on me....Don't you die...." I cry. I hear yells coming my way, but I block them out as I let out a scream of pain.

Pain in my heart.
