Remington (the boys' outfits ^)
My body moved in and out of the air uncontrollably to the instruments as I sang the last chorus to our song 'Don't Feel Quite Right'. In a split second, I was off the stage, and in front of the barricade. I scanned the audience, and a smile made it's way to my face at the sight of an entire room of people, screaming along, and having the time of their lives. I kept screaming the words but stood still once I got to the left side of the crowd. I kept my eyes locked on the girl standing in front of me. She wasn't singing along to the words but, she was still lost in the moment, and dancing wildly. The blonde next to her had her eyes locked on me but, I barely noticed. My focus was locked on who was in front of me. She was so beautiful but, seemed like she was trying to blend in. Most of the other people in the crowd were screaming, and trying to get my attention but, she was just living in the moment. I couldn't take my eyes off of her. Well, that is until I tripped over the microphone wire, hit my head on the edge of the stage, and lost consciousness.
There was nothing but, darkness. I don't know how long I was out for but, when I came to I was in our dressing room.
"Thank fucking god." Emerson sighed with relief.
"What happened?" I asked, still only half conscious.
"You tripped," Sebastian laughed. I'm glad my misfortune was entertaining to them, "I think it's time we invest in a wireless mic my man."
Emerson laughed along at the latter of our older brother's comment. I scoffed and rolled my eyes before sitting up on the sofa, pulling out my phone, and entering twitter.
@RemingtonLeith: really ended tour with a bang...guess it's time for a wireless mic 🤷🏻♂️

I put my phone back in the pocket of my black skinny jeans, and grabbed my pack of cigarettes before heading towards the back entrance of the venue.
"Can I get one?" Emerson asked hopefully, gesturing the the small box in my hand.
"No," I scoffed, "I only have two left, and I'll probably smoke both of them."
I ignored his eye roll and walked out of the door, sitting myself on the steps. My mind couldn't help but drift to the girl I saw earlier. It was so unbelievable to think that all I could look at was her, and now that she wasn't in front of me, it felt like I didn't have enough time with her. Not that I needed more. She probably thought I was an absolute dumbass for tripping over my own fucking mic. I wouldn't blame her if she did.
"Can I bum one off of ya?"
The sudden voice brought me out of my thoughts, and into her milk chocolate eyes. Speak of the fucking devil I guess.
"Yes- yeah," I chuckled at the way my voice was failing me, "sure. Do you need a light too?"
The girl nodded her head before taking my last cigarette, and shoving it between her teeth. We sat in a comfortable silence. Every once in awhile one of us taking a drag, or puffing out smoke.
"So," I said suddenly, eager to hear her soft voice even just once more, "how'd you like the show?"
"It was nice," She said simply, with a ghost of a grin on her face, "well, except for you trying to kill yourself at the end."
I laughed softly at her words as I rubbed the sore spot at the back of my head, prompting her eyes to meet mine momentarily before focusing back on the ground.
"Certainly was not apart of the plan," I smiled, "I do have to say, I enjoyed watching you in the crowd."
The streetlight framed the crimson growing on her cheeks perfectly, causing my grin to widen. For a moment, I thought she wasn't going to respond but, after my heart was about beating out of my chest, she finally spoke up, "It was good music."
I felt a feeling of immediate concern flicker through me as she shrugged her shoulders with a shiver, "Are you cold?"
"I'll be fine."
I ignored her reassurance, and took my jacket off to offer it to her, "Here."
"I'll be fine." She repeated with a hint of a chuckle.
It wasn't a full laugh but, it was enough to keep me warm.
"I know," I sighed as I wrapped the jacket around her small body, "what's your name?"
"This is a nice jacket. I might have to keep it."
The humorous glint in her eye, told me she was kidding but, I was more than ready to agree anyway. We just looked at each other for a moment, my eyes involuntary flickering to her lips once or twice. She was truly infatuating.
"Come on, I'm sure you have a pretty name." The words came out of my mouth before I could stop them, and I instantly kicked myself for it.
"I bet you say that to all the girls you meet after your show."
"That's not true," I laughed lightly, "and even if it was, I don't think I've ever met a girl after my show that's as pretty as you are."
She put her- or my- cigarette out on the cement step, and pulled my jacket tighter around her as she stood up. It looked damn good on her too. A smile was fighting to break it's way to her face but, she held it off with ease.
"What's your name?" She asked.
"What?" The disbelief was more evident in my voice than I intended.
"Tell me your name, and maybe I'll tell you mine."
My eyebrow raised in confusion, "Alright mystery woman. Do you mean to tell me that you bought tickets to see someone and you don't know their name?"
I was relieved that she seemed to know I was only kidding, "It's a long story but, I didn't buy the tickets. My- friend did. Sorry to bruise your ego."
"Ouch," I teased, placing my hand over my heart to feign offense, "where's that friend now?"
"She left," She rolled her eyes, "and I was trying to make a new one but, he won't tell me his damn name."
I let out a stifled laugh, and took a step closer to her. I didn't speak until she caught me staring, "I'm Remington Leith."
I held my hand out to her, and she shook it firmly before sending me an odd look, "Why do you keep looking at me like that?"
"Because you're probably the prettiest girl I've ever met." That line came out smoother than I thought it would.
"Now I know you say that to all of the girls that you meet after your show."
I shook my head wildly in disbelief. She couldn't see it?
"I can promise you, I don't."
The girl began to walk away, and when she turned around, a small smile had finally appeared, lighting my heart up in an instant.
"Don't take me for a fool, Remington Leith."
