Kayla waited inside the house, scared as she stayed under her bed. Her arms shaking violently, as tears from her eyes streamed down her face.

Kayla kept the phone near her, as she begged for her parents to return. Her nose sniffling as she had been left alone.

The door bursted open, as Kayla widened her eyes. "Kayla!" Jax shouted, running in as he bursted into her room.

Kayla moved herself out from under her bed. Her eyes reddened, crying as Jax wrapped his arms around her. "Dad?" Kayla questioned, "where's- where's mum?"

Jax stayed quiet, hugging his daughter as he had witnessed his beloved wife.

Murdered in cold blood.

Jax couldn't answer his daughter, weeping in her arms as Kayla fell to her knees. "Where's mama?" Kayla whispered to him, shaking as Jax pulled away,

"She's gone, Kayla," Jax quietly said to her, as Kayla widened her eyes, destroyed as she felt pieces of her life being corrupted.

A few weeks had passed, Evangelina laid on her bed. Twirling a strand of hair as she read her book. Smiling at the chapter, she had adjusted to the new life she'd commenced on the road. It wasn't something she wished, she struggled with it.

But she eventually had to learn, for now this was her life.

Klaus and Stefan had gone away, out searching for the werewolf known as Raye. Evangelina had no interest in the search, not only after her and klaus hadn't spoken much since the night she'd spent in Stefan's room.

Evangelina heard a knock upon the hotel door, raising an eyebrow as she placed her book down.

Stretching her arms up, unlocking the door as a woman stood outside. "Has sir Mikaelson, checked in today?" The woman asked, holding an envelope besides her waist.

Evangelina smirked to herself, "sir?" Evangelina chuckled, before restraining herself back to normal.

"He isn't here right now," Evangelina told her, smiling as she noticed the woman nodding.

"Ah, right, would you be able to deliver this to him?" The woman asked, handing Evangelina the envelope as she hesitated.

"Sure, I'll make sure to give it to him," Evangelina kindly said, waving to the woman as she closed the door.
