Klaus had stayed by Evangelina's side, waiting for her eyes to awaken. Her pale skin breathing, her chest every second lifting as the air entered her nose. She hadn't awoken since Klaus had caught her, he wondered if this happened often to the young girl.
His hand lifted, caressing her cheek softly as it was cold. her skin was quite chilling, as her breath was too. Klaus widened his eyes, as she was already converted with a blanket.
He remembered the mark that was on her eyes, the mark of the white rose. a worried expression still laid on his face, everlasting since he had seen that burdened mark.
Stefan entered the room, confused as he saw Klaus sitting on a chair. "What are you doing in her room?" Stefan questioned, leaning against the door.
His eyes glared, "did you do something to her?" Stefan inquired, stepping forward.
Klaus Instantly got up, his eyebrows furrowed as he heard Stefan's words.
"I'd watch that mouth of yours, mate," Klaus threatened calmly, his voice staying stern as he folded his arms.
"Then what are you doing here?" Stefan questioned Klaus,
"I'm checking up on her, don't think for a minute I'd ever hurt her," Klaus cursed at Stefan, stepping away from him as he noticed Evangelina awakening.
Evangelina groaned, her eyes opening as she felt pain inside her head. "My head-" Evangelina seethed, placing a hand on her forehead as Stefan quickly came to her side.
"Stefan?" Evangelina was confused, Stefan wrapped his arms around her as she did the same. Her head rested on his shoulder, closing her eyes as she still felt slightly weak from last night.
"Are you feeling okay?" Stefan asked, pulling away as he held her face near his.
"I'm okay; what happened afterwards?" Evangelina moved slightly away, as she noticed Klaus standing near Stefan.
"You fainted, it was like you were seeing a whole other world?" Klaus questioned her, as Evangelina fell into silence as she remembered what she had seen.
"Has this happened before?" Klaus pressed on, Evangelina nodded slowly as she felt slight panic in her chest.
"Yes, it happens ever so often," Evangelina answers him, her lips shaking slightly as she tried to get up.
