Gabriel sat in his chair that night, writing down in his book. The candles lightened brightly, swaying side to side as Gabriel kept focused on his letters. A faint knock became on the door, "yes?" Gabriel called out, looking up as Amaris opened the door.
"I figured you'd be busy, sir," Amaris smiled, stepping in as Gabriel glanced at her up and down.
"Busy yes, I've had vampires scrambling up the states since Zayde is failing to do his Job," Gabriel furrows his eyebrows, a hint of annoyance in his voice.
Amaris sat down, "this girl you're searching for, Gabriel, have you figured she may be gone?" Amaris purposed.
Gabriel shook his head with a smirk, "well-"
A sudden wave bursted throughout, Gabriel placed his hand on his heart as his head looked up. The sense of power he felt, possessing him greatly as dark veins travelled up to his neck.
Gabriel stood up, looking out the window as he closed his eyes.
"Sir?" Amaris worried, walking over as Gabriel smiled.
"It seems she's unlocked her power," Gabriel controlled the veins, breathing out as he looks at Amaris.
Amaris felt the celestial influence in her blood, "that power," Amaris whispered, smiling as she felt in through her veins.
"How am I feeling this?" Amaris wondered.
Gabriel glanced at her, "when I put my power into you, you'll be able to sense when the celestial has awoken," Gabriel explained.
Amaris stayed next to Gabriel, looking out onto the city. "The lunar eclipse is upon us, getting nearer every minute and it's my duty to do what is needed," Gabriel said to himself, standing proudly.
"This time, I will not fail,"
