Jadyn's POV

Three hours later I found myself finally unpacking. Thankfully I hadn’t packed a lot of stuff; actually I would have only had to unpack the rest shoes and I would be done. Taking a break from unpacking I made myself a sandwich and sat at my desk looking at my computer. I thought about the homework that I had due for next Monday before starting my assignment for Literature. I defined the vocabulary and rewrote them. After reviewing them I started researching famous writers and finally found a poet that not a lot people would write about and started my paper. Everyone would be writing their papers on Shakespeare and Edger Allan Poe, I wanted to be unique. Professor Harrison said not to bore him and I wasn’t going to let him down. By seven I had finished. My phone rang as soon as I had printed it. Looking at my iPhone I saw my sister’s face and sighed. I had only texted my mom a little bit, I hadn’t really talked to any of them.

I slid the answer button and said, “Hi Madison.”

“You answered!!! I miss you!” she yelled as I held the phone away from my ear.

“Ow. Are you at school?” I asked hearing a lot of voices on the other end.

“Ya. Lunch… Its eleven twenty. I have first lunch. I need help. I am required to write a paper on somebody and I don’t want to use the twins or our parents. So can I write about you?” she asked as I looked at my computer.

“Of course you can. Well… What is it about?” I asked her as she sighed.

“Well I have Mrs. Garrison and she wants us to write a paper on somebody that we look up to. I really do not look up to the twins because they are guys and I do look up to mom and dad but everybody is doing their parents or uncles and aunts and I don’t want to do that,” Madison said rambling.

“Okay. Well I don’t care if you write a paper on me. Just don’t write anything bad about me. Mrs. Garrison is a really good teacher. I had her three times,” I told Madison as she sighed.

“Ya. I know. She talked about her ‘star student’ and mentioned you. I actually am in her class right now, but they made first lunch weird,” Madison said as I understood that.

My high school liked to change the lunches and they did it differently every year. I heard voices in the background and I heard Madison shush all of them and tell them she was on the phone.

“So when will you be home?” she asked as I laughed.

“Um, I don’t know for sure. I might be home for Thanksgiving or I might not be. It depends on classes are going. I won’t buy ticket until October. I will probably buy it on Halloween,” I said as I heard her sigh.

“But you definitely will be home for Christmas?” she asked as I laughed.

“Yes. I already bought my tickets. I leave December 23 and I will arrive in California that day. And then on December 28th you and I will go to New York,” I said as I just realized I told her the surprise I had made for her.

“OHMYGAH!!! We are going to New York!!!!” she squealed as I groaned.

“Maybe. It was going to be a surprise. But obviously it wasn’t. But yes. WE are going to New York. And Adam and Alec might be going too. I just don’t know,” I told her as I heard a bell ring. “You should probably get off the phone so you can go to class,” I added as she sighed.
