Jadyn’s POV

I woke up feeling a little better but felt bad once I checked my phone. Ten missed calls and twelve text messages from my mother stared at me. I sighed but ignored them because the shower was seriously calling my name. I walked into my bathroom and walked back to grab a towel and my toiletries. Once I had everything I turned on my shower and stepped in letting the hot water pour on me. After standing under the water I stepped out of the shower and dried off. I pulled on my favorite grey long sleeve shirt and black skinny jeans. I pulled on my floral combat boots and searched for my hair dryer but couldn’t find it so towel dried my hair instead. I looked around my room and saw a lot of boxes and sighed. ‘I need to unpack,’ I thought as my stomach growled. I sighed as I realized I had no food in my apartment and didn’t eat anything yesterday. I grabbed my messenger bag and started walking toward my front door. I walked down the hall to the elevator and pushed the one button. I waited for the doors to shut and then I was going down. When the elevator’s doors opened again I saw a lobby full of people. I walked through the people and started down the street. I knew from the first time I came here a grocery store was just down the street, about a quarter of a block down.

When I arrived in the store I got a basket and looked around the store for a little while until I got down to business. I grabbed yogurt, eggs, bread, chicken, and the necessities then went to pay. I looked at the magazines as I waited in line and on the front page in large letters read 'BOYBAND MEMBER LOUIS TOMLINSON WEDDING IN ONE MONTH'. I looked away, I really wasn’t interested in boy bands and needless to say their weddings. The cashier was finally ringing up my food and I soon was back on my way. ‘I really need a car,’ I thought as I got back to my flat’s building. I walked unnoticed to the elevator and walked tried to push the three button when a guy walked in.

“Can you push three please?” I asked as he pushed three and didn’t push another button.

‘If he didn’t live on the third floor this ride just got really awkward,’ I thought as he looked at me. He had blond hair and was about my height and was smiling.

“Are you new to this building?” he asked me as I noticed he did not have a British accent instead had an Irish accent.

“Yes, I just moved in today,” I told him hoping he would not be some stalker.

“I thought so. My girlfriend lives on the third floor and has this whole summer. I know a lot of people in here and you didn’t look familiar,” he said as I nodded.

No offense to this Irish guy but I really didn’t want to talk to him. If he was a girl then maybe, but a guy, no. The elevator’s doors opened and he let me step out first.

“It was nice meeting you,” I said, even though I never got his name, and I began walking to my flat.

To my surprise he started walking with me and I started thinking of self-defense moves I knew. I got to my door and thankfully he knocked on the door across from me. The girl I had met earlier-Caitlyn’s-door. I was opening my door when I heard the door across from me open.

“Niall! Oh hi neighbor! I never got your name,” I heard Caitlyn say.

I turned around and saw Caitlyn holding her door opened and was looking with me. Her boyfriend was also starring at me and I smiled weakly at both of them.

“I’m Jadyn,” I told her as she stared at me and smiled.

“Well you already know my name and this is my boyfriend Niall Horan,” she said pointing towards her boyfriend.

“Nice to meet you,” I told them both.

“Same here. I am new in the neighborhood. Like literally. I am from Chelsea and don’t know anyone here. Well except for the people I met through my work. I met Niall here from my work,” she said proudly as I smiled at her.

“That is cool, you guys make a cute couple,” I told them as they smiled at each other and then at me.

“Thanks! I should probably leave you to put your groceries away,” she said as I smiled at her thankfully.

“Thanks. I’ll see you around. Bye Niall,” I told them as I opened my door.

“Bye! Nice meeting you!” an Irish accent followed me as I went inside and shut my door.

Inside my house I put my groceries away and got a yogurt and began eating it. Afterwards I started unpacking my boxes but I grew tired again because of the time change. I pulled on pajamas and set my alarm clock for seven and fell back asleep.
