Genin Teams

I woke up that morning and walked to my dresser , I pulled the drawers open and took out my clothes . A pair of pants and a long blue sleeve shirt with a wide v neck , I put on my favorite black necklace that hung low , the pendant reaching my diaphragm.  I fixed my hair , brushed my teeth and made my way to the academy .

Apon entering , I noticed that I was early . The only other person in class was Sasuke Uchiha , he sat at his desk focused ahead of him , sometimes I wonder what goes through his mind as he always sits like that . I shrugged off my thoughts and walked down , my chair was three rows down from his chair on the other side of classroom . I sat at my seat and pulled out a book from my ninja pouch , this book was one of many that I enjoy reading . I placed it flat on the desk , I leaned on my left hand as I used my right hand to open and turn the pages of the book . The book itself was a very complex book that used all sorts of advanced literature, the only other people I know that could read this book would be Shikamaru and Sakura .

As time moved on , the classroom began to fill with other students . Before I knew it   most of the students were in the classroom , my closest friend wondered over " what are you reading ?" He asked , I looked up and lifted the one side of the book to show him the title  " Ninja Sin Vol 4 " . Shikamaru smiled " nice , that one is a good read . Vol 6 is better though " , I smiled " sure , I'll read it and let you know " . Shikamaru walked up the stairs to his deck , stopping to talk with Naruto .

In my opinion,  Naruto isn't a bad guy like people treat him to be , honestly he is just unlucky , very unlucky . I turned back to read my book , from the back of the classroom I heard an argument between two girls , then it was quiet for a short moment before all the girls began to join in . I groaned at the commotion , do the girls have to argue over Sasuke every single morning ?

"Morning "I heard a soft voice greet almost as a whisper . I looked up to see one of my classmates Kaede , she had a brown pixie cut and wore a oversized green jacket with knee  length  shorts . I smiled at her " Morning Kaede " . She sat beside me and looked at the book "you can understand that ? " , I nodded " yeah " . She sighed " woah I'm jealous ...I couldn't even understand the first paragraph and yet here you are , halfway through the book "

" Its not for everyone Kaede , don't worry you'll find something you're good at " , Kaede grumbled " I'm not smart , good with academics or strong . I barely passed the clone jutsu " . I gave an encouraging smile " you don't have to be any of those things , do what you can with what you have " .

Iruka came into the classroom from the front , he smiled looking at all his students with pride " from today , you are officially ninja and have started on the first rank , Genin . To advance to the other Ranks you need experience,  training and guidance.  Therefore you will be put in teams of three with a Jonin as an educator to help you with the missions you will be given . "

The classroom was in a buzz over the new information . Even I was sitting there thinking how a team of 3 was such a odd number of people for a team but there must be a reason for that . Iruka pulled out our roll-call list " I will now announce the teams "

The teams that iruka called were as follows

Team 7 - Naruto , Sakura and Sasuke
Team 8 - Hinata , Kiba and Shino
Team 10 - Ino , Shikamaru and Choji
Team 13 - Kaede , Sora and Takashi

Team 13 was actually very well balanced . Takashi's role is the Braun , what he lacks with Intelligence makes up for in abilities , he is strong , fast and a remarkable fighter .

I'm Intelligent and my abilities focus more on the mind therefore my combat skills aren't as great , sure I can handle myself in a fight but I'm not like Sasuke or those other rookies from last year Neji and Rock Lee . I'm the brain of the group in a sense .

Kaede struggles with both of these attributes, her role is the empathy and gentle nature of the ninja , so it's a perfect plan to have her in a team where the other two members carry the two attributes that ninjas are expected to have .

Iruka smiled " your Jonin educators will come fetch you and you will spend the rest of the day with them , good luck . I'm rooting for all of you " he walked out the classroom . Kaede looked at me " I'm relieved to have you on my team , I don't do well with strangers " I chuckled " do you know Takashi?" . Kaede blushed and looked back to the classroom ,  I looked back to see where she was looking . Infront of Sasuke sat Takashi,  he had green hair that was tied in a braid over his shoulder , he wore a sleeveless shirt that showed off his arms .

Kaede sighed with a hum "not personally..." . I smiled watching Kaede crush over our teammate , it's sort of cute to see but not surprising . We start to desire relationships with other people , the older we get . I then notice Sakura who was slumbed in her chair , sit up straight and wave at me with a blush on her face and a cute smile . I smiled at her before the first Jonin entered , it was a very large muscular woman with black hair tied into a bun . I immediately recognized this jonin and sunk in my chair  , why of all people ?!

Her eyes spotted me and she smirked "Team 13 ! Sora , Kaede , Takashi! Let's go !"

Why of all people , did it have to be my mother !?
