Training

That afternoon Lady Yuma and her Husband left their estate and made their way to the Lord meeting . April waved them off and as soon as they were out of range , she swung around and smiled at us . " Takashi , Sora , want to go play ?"

Takashi grumbled " we don't play " , April's face changed to a sad expression.  My mom placed her hands on our shoulders "aww why don't you just accompany her boys ?" . I looked up at my mom to see a mocking smirk on her face , I frowned at her . April cheered " yay ! " , without warning she grabbed our hands and rushed into the garden , the entire afternoon she told us everything she liked and disliked like a character monolog.  Takashi lost interest and just blocked her out the rest of the day , I tried to pay attention thinking that some useful information might be in her monolog but there wasn't anything helpful .

I did happen to notice that April had blue eyes yet her parents don't,  was it just a gene mutation or was there another reason ?

That next morning came quickly , after Gina served us breakfast April smiled " are we going to go play again ?" . My mom wiped her mouth with a napkin "actually Lady April . The boys need to be trained today,  why don't you hang out with Kaede ?"

April pouted "doesn't she need to train too?"  . My mom shook her head "I trained her yesterday , today I need to train the boys "  , April crossed her arms " no way ! I'm not playing with a another girl . Oh can I watch your training ?". My mother sighed as though she was defeated " fine but don't distract them " . April smiled and looked to us " I will try ~"

My mother led us to the garden with April trailing close behind . She reached the small pond " I know I taught you the basics of Chakra control on our first day together, if you remember clearly . I taught you to ensure your Chakra to your feet and you could climb the tree . Today I want you trying the same thing but this time , with the water . "

Takashi looked at kaede " did you master it ?" ,  Kaede shook her head "no , I got a few steps but I didn't learn it . I'll try more today since I don't need to play with Lady April " . My mom smirked "Sora , why don't you try first " , I eyed her "you're planning go laugh at me , aren't you?" . She shrugged "I don't know ...let's see how you do " .  I sighed and infused the Chakra to my feet and slowly took a step to the water , the water wasn't firm or solid and my stomach knotted in anxiety.  I forced myself to ignore the uneasy felling and took another step , then another . Every time I waited until I was ready and didn't rush it .

My team respected the process and stayed quiet for me to focus and I did appreciate that . Suddenly April's voice cut through the silence like a sharp blade " Wow Sora that's so cool !!" . Instantly I lost focus and plunged into the water , I burst out the freezing water and frowned at April . She covered her mouth " oops..."

My mom looked at April and sighed , she walked to the ponds edge " that was a good start . Once you get the hang of it , we will try on a moving body water like a river . Takashi , you and Sora will try this today , don't come back to your room until you can walk across the pond without falling in " . My mom turned and walked off as Kaede made her own attempts. 

Lady April would cheer Takashi and I on , which at first made us loose focus but soon we got used to her disturbance and could walk on the water without falling . Kaede however had a difficult time , it also didn't help that April would laugh at her everytime she fell into the water . Takashi and I agreed to wait for Kaede before returning even though she wasn't given the same penalty and could go anytime she wanted .

I walked over to Kaede as she stepped out the pond " Kaede , it's okay to take a break ". Kaede sighed " it's not that ....I can't focus when I'm laughed at " , I frowned " Is she causing your struggles " . Kaede nodded slightly "but it's okay , I'll get used to it and will ignore it "

I shook my head " at this rate , you will get sick before you get used to her mockery . I honestly wish I could tell her off but ..."

"But she is our client and we can't do that . It's okay Sora , I will just keep trying "

I frowned and watched her try to walk on the pond again , I turned around and approached April " want to go for a walk?"

April smiled " with you ? Sure !". She immediately grabbed my hand and led me further into the garden , Takashi watched us and gave me a slight smile understanding my intentions . I'm guessing if April made Kaede fall one last time , he would have dragged April away aswell . I really hope Kaede will make it , I hate seeing a friend struggle like that .
