Lets Try This

I woke up on the 3 seater couch with a blanket over my shoulders and a throbbing headache,  I groaned and sat up slowly holding my head which felt incredibly heavy .

"How are you feeling ?" A voice asked softly , I looked to find Sakura who wore different clothing and was sitting by my legs with two mugs in her hands , I rubbed my eyes " like regret..."

Sakura smiled and placed the mugs on the centre piece coffee table , she sucked in a breath " ..what do you remember? From last night ?"

" uh...my mom making us drink , my parents leaving , me confessing , you laying your heart out , you running to the bathroom...that's all "

Sakura nodded " you passed out on the table ...your dad moved you to the couch . " she then blushed " I fell asleep on your bed "

I frowned " I thought you were running to the bathroom ?"

" I did...but then after I just found a place to sleep "

" oh"

Sakura rubbed her hands together " so about last night ...what I wanted to say was that I liked you too "

I reached for my mug but stopped and looked at her surprised , she blushed and playfully pushed me " don't look at me like that , you knew so don't pretend it's shocking !"

I gave a knowing shrug and took my mug , Sakura placed her hand ontop of the mug to stop me from drinking the coffee I very much needed , she looked at me seriously " if you're willing . I'd like to be your girlfriend "

My dad had just stepped into the room , heard the last sentence and backtracked as though he was never here , I placed the mug back down and leaned on my arms " you sure ? I doubt I'm that great , I might just be a jerk boyfriend "

Sakura smiled " its up to me to find out " Sakura leaned forward and placed her lips on mine , they were soft like a flower petal , I placed my hand behind her head as I deepened the kiss .

" your coffee is getting cold " my mom called walking by in a apron with a basket full of laundry . Sakura and I pulled away with blushing faces , " thanks..mom" I whispered with distaste which made her chuckled . Sakura smiled and held my hand , intertwining our fingers " so you want to do this ?"

I looked down at our hands and smiled " if I didn't,  I wouldn't have kissed you back " , Sakura smiled " Sora , my boyfriend...it's got a ring to it "

She looked like she was daydreaming , I reached out and took my mug and sipped my coffee , it never tasted better . I sighed with satisfaction,  Sakura sat back and drank her own coffee . My dad came in with a tray of food " time you two eat  , it'll help with that hangover "

I looked at the food and looked up at him who was smiling like a dork " what ?" I asked , he smirked " you two finally got together "

Sakura blushed as I realized what he and my mom had planned " you got us drunk just so we could confess stupidly to each other?"

My father laughed " it worked didn't it ? You two are so obviously in love but neither of you wanted to take the leap , so we helped you leap "

My father walked to the door " Sakura Yamanaka...it's got a ring to it doesn't it ?" , I grabbed the nearby pillow and threw it at him .

After Sakura and I ate , we walked out to meet up with our friends hand in hand , we came across my cousin , Naruto and Shikamaru. Ino noticed out intertwined fingers first and squealed " finally !!"

Naruto's mouth dropped " you two ? Really ?"

Shikamaru groaned " it's like you were the only friend who didn't notice "

Naruto frowned but Shikamaru interrupted " anyways , Lady Tsunade has news for Naruto and Sakura , she wants you to go to her office right away "

Sakura nodded " okay , I'll be right back then " she gave me a peck on the cheek before going to the office with Naruto , Ino smirked at me " well we'll Cousin , I didn't expect you to make the first move "

" well...sort of . I confessed but she made the first move "

Ino wanted all the details but I kept the story short , I was honestly curious what the news lady Tsunade had which I learned a few hours after were these words

" Sasuke killed Orochimaru,  and has assembled his own team to hunt down Itachi "

Not long after those words circled,  I was called in with Kiba , Shino , Hinata , Sai , Sakura and Naruto . Lady Tsunade looked at us " I'm assembling you all into team , to capture Itachi Uchiha and bring him back here !"
