Sakura's desperation

We rented two rooms at the inn , I shared a room with Naruto who was sill currently unconscious.  Yamato and Kakashi shared the other room , across from ours , I looked ar Naruto's unconscious form before walking out the inn with a sigh , rubbing my forehead.  I then noticed a few people heading our way , one why caught my eye was none other then my girlfriend.

"Sakura ? What are you doing here ?"

" we came to help" Sai answered me , Sakura looked around " where's Naruto ?"

"Asleep"

"Asleep ? I thought you were chasing after the Rikage?" Sakura asked confused.  " we did , we caught up to them and Naruto pleaded his case "

"And...?" Sakura frowned

"He didnt care for words . A man like the Rikage is a man of action not words . If we want him to take our plea seriously we will have to take matters into our own hands " I shrugged , Sakura seemed to be formulating some sort of plan in her head , her eyes darted around while she frowned .

"Sakura ?" I stepped closer to her , I knew her ling enough to recognize her facial expressions . She looked up at me and gave a soft smile , but something was behind those eyes ...sadness ?

She suddenly hugged me " Im sorry about earlier...I didnt mean to snap at you . I was just frustrated " she apologized as she hugged me tightly,  I returned the hug " I know..."

She gave a short and sweet kiss to my lips then stepped back " we will head back to the village and see what we can do there "

I frowned , her words and her expressions dont correlate.  Sakura didnt give me time to question her as she left with our friends that tagged along with her.  I walked back inside and sat by Naruto , thinking of Sakura's odd behavior.

Then it finally clicked . Sakura's sad expression wasnt for me or for the situation,  it was for her . She plans on taking Sasuke as a responsibility and do what the Rikage wanted . I sprung up , accidentally waking Naruto in the process.  Naruto groaned " Sora ?...Ow why does my head hurt ? What happened ?"

I crouched by his side " I knocked you out...sorry "

"You....what?"

"I had to ....you were panicking.  Listen I have to leave quickly..."

"Where are you going suddenly? What have I missed ?" He questioned .

I couldn't tell Naruto what had crossed my mind , because if he knew , he'd race to stop her and he isnt in the best emotional state right now to deal with this. I asked him to inform Kakashi that I had to leave on a emergency,  I quickly ran out the inn and followed Sakura's trail and finally caught up to her .

Sakura was standing while our friends were all unconscious,  she noticed me and her face paled " Sora ? What are you doing here ?"

I got closer and saw our friends sleeping like nothing could waken them " did you drug them ?"

Sakura looked down as I approached , she had her hands behind her back as I stopped infront of her , " Sakura ...what are planning ?" , my tone was gentle and caring.  I was worried that she might be underestimating Sasuke , yes he is an old teammate but he also showed that he doesnt care for them .

She clenched her jaw and tightened her eyes before whispering " Im sorry..." , in a instand I felt a slight pinch in my neck . My hand immediately flew to my neck as my body felt sliggish and my vision began to blurr . Sakura held up a needle that was coated in something she made , Sakura had just drugged me too...

I stumbled alittle and she quickly caught me in her arms , she sat on her knees with me on her lap , she held back tears as though this physically pained her " Im sorry Sora , I didn't want to involve you in this .  Sasuke is part of my team , my responsibility.  " she then kissed my forehead " The effects will wear off in a few hours "

My vision darkned afterwards , I felt so annoyed at myself , I knew Sakura had some sort of plan to take Sasuke on and I still had my guard down...I guess that's what happens when you love someone .

I was woken by a frantic voice , my body regained feeling and my vision cleared.  It was Kakashi , he shook me violently until my body reacted and I grabbed his arms to stop him . " Sora what happened? Wheres Sakura ?"

I quickly got up " she went after him . Sasuke . We have to stop her "

Kakshi didnt ask any questions,  he just nodded then looked to Sai " return to the village . We will handle the rest "

I quickly followed Kakashi to the location that Sasuke fought Danzo . My body felt stiff like I need a good back crackling stretch , hoping to get one after this mess . We finally caught up to them and in a flash , Kakshi intervened moving Sakura away and challanging Sasuke . Sasuke managed to fend Kakshi off and Sakura made another attempt at assassinating Sasuke but he was to quick and grabbed her instead , turning her own knife against her .

This sight alone woke my entire soul , my Wynnd wings sprouted and I immediately jumped into the fight , moving Sakura out of Sasukes grasp , my wings wrapping around her protectively that the knife scartched against it like glass . We slid together before Sakura realized what had transpired,  Kakashi dropped down inbetween Sasuke and I " Sora...thank goodness "

I glared at Sasuke with hatred , I understood it was a self defense tactic on his part but he tried to harm Sakura . My Sakura .
