The hunt begins

A/n : I don't remember every single detail of this arc where they sort of chase Sasuke around so this will be from memory , I apologize if it doesn't follow the anime and manga ))

Sora pov :

I stood in the hokage office alongside Sakura , Naruto , Sai , Hinata , Kiba and Shino . Lady Tsunade sat at her desk as she explained the mission " We know that Sasuke will be hunting down Itachi , so we must capture Itachi" she looked directly at me " Sora , what do you think Sasuke's plan is ?"

I crossed my arms " he won't know where Itachi is , his only reliable information is that Itachi is part of the organization Akataski.  Sasuke will most likely try to get information out of any Akataski member he comes across "

Tsunade nodded " that is correct . We recently received a report that Deidera and a unknown partner was spotted at a dingo shop . This team will follow the source and get information out of him . "

I looked at our collective team , normally teams were always in 3's . I was about to ask Lady Tsunade but she beat me to the punch " team 7 and 8 are as is , Sora you will be in another team with Kakashi and Yamato " well , that answers that . Lady Tsunade stood " you will meet up at the main gates at noon . Dismissed "

We all left the office , Sakura and I walked together,  we just got together that morning and now we won't even get time alone together,  being launched into a mission that revolves around someone I'm not particularly fond of . Sakura hooked her arm in mine and smiled " it's nice to have a mission together,  I haven't seen you serious in a while "

I laughed " that's not true , I was serious yesterday wasn't I?"

Sakura smiled and came closer , slipping her hands over my shoulders and wrapping them around my shoulders pulling me close , pressing herself against me " yes you were "

"What's this ? Sakura flirting ?" I teased , Sakura blushed with a giggle " I feel bolder with you Sora , and I'm honestly excited to work with you on a mission that lasts for days~"

I smiled and wrapped my arms around her waist and leaned in for a kiss , she went slightly on her toes and met me halfway , deepening the kiss . The kiss started to intensify as we began French kissing , I pulled away as we both tried to catch our breath " that was new" Sakura whispered with her cheeks burning red , I blushed aswell " ...can't believe we just did that in the middle of the street "

Sakura chuckled " we should probably gather our things and meet up " I nodded " yeah , I'll see you at the gate " I gave her one last kiss before heading home and getting ready for the mission .

I met up with everyone at the main gates , Kakashi walked up to me " Sora , I heard you made a new technique with water specifically rain water , how skilled are you with it?"

" uh almost perfect...wait how did you know I made a new water jutsu ?"

" I'm old friends with your sensei , he accidentally mentioned that you came up with a helpful technique "  Kakashi replied.

Sakura snuck up on me " what type of technique?" , I looked at her " if I don't need to use it during the mission , I'll tell you about it later "

Sakura nodded as we all put on the white coats with a red line on the lower side . Lady Tsunade walked up to us " I will now confirm this mission . You all have one goal , locate and capture Itachi Uchiha !"

We departed from the village as Kiba led the way , his unique sense of smell was extraordinarily helpful . Kakashi did a summoning justu , summoning more than a dozen ninja hounds . Each member of the team had a ninja dog by their side , I had a very fluffy black large dog .

Some time passed as we came across a small village area , we decided to split up and search for clues . Sakura and I happen to walk down different streets , Sakura walked past a girl with extreme red hair . This girl turned down the road and was walking past me , she stopped and turned around , I did the same . Why do I get I feeling that she is someone suspicious?

Her eyes narrowed behind her red glasses , she pushed them up slightly. Before we could exchange words , a large white explosion went off in a field . It was so large and easily seen , the red head quickly ran in the exact direction where the blinding light was coming from . I knew she was suspicious!

I can't follow her now , I'll have to regroup with the team and investigate the explosion but at least I know what one of his accomplices look like .
