That next day I woke up and dressed in my usual clothing , throwing on a large jacket due to a chill in the air . I walked through the streets of the village as my mom was no where to be found , I was curious and I did ask my father prior but he said "Jonin business "
I noticed Sakura and her group talking, they had papers in their hands . As I walked past them , Sakura's eyes glanced my way before she immediately stopped walking and called out " Sora !" , I slowed down and looked at Sakura " yeah what's up ?" .
Sakura smiled and walked up to me , moving her arms behind her in a sweet gesture "where are you going , are you free ?" . I was curious why she wanted to know but I had a feeling that it was about yesterday " I'm just walking , I don't really have plans today ?" , I had a questioning tone to my answer so that she could catch on that I was waiting for her to get to the point . She smiled " want to have breakfast , since we couldn't go yesterday?"
" oh , wait aren't you going on a mission ?" , Sakura blushed and waved her hand "oh no , we were just reading the Chunin exam application forms our sensei gave us " . Behind her Naruto and Sasuke watched our interaction , Sasuke looked bored and ultimately walked off on his own but Naruto stayed where he was and gave us a weird look .
I chuckled "alright , well I'm in the mood for some Dango . You game ?" Sakura practically screeched with joy " yeah that sounds great !" , she roped her arm around mine and dragged me to the Dango shop leaving poor Naruto in the dust . He even called out to us hoping to join but Sakura literally gave him the cold shoulder , I felt bad for Naruto and looked back to maybe invite him bit I saw Sakura's gaze . Her eyes were filled with worry , was she looking forward to eating with me so badly that she was afraid of others joining ?
I sighed and just walked with Sakura to the shop , as we reached the shop I spotted someone I despised . My cousin walked out the Dango ship and spotted me , she immediately glared and when she noticed Sakura who was hanging on my arm , her glare intensified . Her face twisted into a smirk " Billboard brow and sheep boy walking together, it's like a sick joke "
I smirked " you really have nothing better to do than to walk around aimlessly , chicken wings ?" . Sakura smirked at the nickname as Ino frowned and walked off , we shrugged that unpleasant encounter off and walked in getting ourselves a table . Once we sat down , Sakura studied me . I raised my eyebrow " what's with that look ?" , She blushed " I was just wondering why Ino would call you ' sheep boy ' " . I reached up to my hair and lifted abit of my fluffy hair to indicate where the "sheep" word came from .
She smiled softly and rested on her hand " I like your fluffy hair , it looks so soft that you could sleep on it . I bet braiding it would be so fun aswell ~" . Sakura's ramble was so surprising that my face went blank , I didn't know what to think or say , should I thank her for thinking like that or should I be awkward ??
Sakura didn't seem to notice how surprising her statement was as she didn't stop there , she continued on " and I like how it's styled , your under cut is nice and short so you can see your jaw line but the fluffy blonde hair at the top really compliments your eyes like clouds "
Is she really flirting so boldly?? I felt my face heat up at her compliments and avoided her gaze , my stomach feels all fluttery and weird...
The waitress served the Dango 🍡 as we ate , Sakura only had one and cringed afterwards which made me assume that she doesn't eat much sweet things , I on the other hand ate a few . Afterwards we walked out the show and walked down the streets, Sakura leaned into me as we walked , the same weird feeling came back . I don't know what to think or feel about this , I suddenly spotted my mother walking down the streets . She smiled when she saw us , we stopped infront of her , Sakura smiled " Hello Ao sensei.."
My mom smiled at Sakura "hello , so are you two on a date or something ?"
On queue both our faces went blood red and we stepped apart, my mother chuckled "sorry but I need to steal Sora , will that be okay ?" My mom asked Sakura , Sakura blushed more and nodded . My mom led me away and we met up with Takashi and Kaede , my mom gave us Chunnin application sheets " so ...about the chunnin exams ..."
