False Alarm

We made our way to the hidden sand , as we reached the gates the two guards seemed surprised " why are you here ?" One of the guards asked , my mother frowned " On a mission ...Master Wynnd went missing ?"

Both guards relaxed " oh...he has been found "

I frowned " excuse me ?"

The one guard awkwardly chuckled " he showed up a couple of hours ago . Turns out he went to train without notifying anyone "

My mother was practically boiling with rage " where is he now ?" She asked gritting her teeth , the guards glanced at one another . My mother didn't wait for them to reply , she pushed passed them and marched towards my grandparents house . We quickly followed her leaving the nervous guards behind , Kaede moved closer as she asked " doesn't your grandpa usually go training for weeks at a time ?"

I nodded " yes but he usually tells the kazekage or one of the guards so they always know where to find him if they need him " , Takashi frowned " why do they need to know where he is ?"

" oh , my grandfather trained most of the soldiers of the Hidden sand , you could say he is a old master in those cliché stories . "

We reached my grandparents house , before my mother could knock , my grandfather opened the door . He was unphased and very calm as he looked at my mom who was red with anger , I swore steam was coming out from her ears....

" why are you here Ao ?" My grandfather asked as he seemed to be on his way out . My mother huffed trying to keep her anger down " we came to find you ..."

" I'm right here child "

I rubbed my forehead " all that panic....for nothing "

My grandfather's head snapped towards me , his eyes lit up " Sora , you've come to visit "

" how are you so excited,  I was here a couple of weeks ago ?"

My grandfather chuckled " a grandparent will miss their grandchildren even if they haven't seen them for a day ...let alone a week "

He looked at Kaede and Takashi then at my mom " well , can't have you stand in my doorway all day . Come in , have something to drink "

We went inside and sat down , my mother and grandmother spoke alot , my mom basically gave him a lecture about going off alone without telling anyone .

My grandfather looked at us " why do you look so sad Sora ?"

Takashi smirked " he's upset because this fake mission dragged him from his girlfriend "

" she's NOT my girlfriend " I corrected.

My grandfather smiled " ah I see...is this the girl from before ? Sakura was her name right?"

My face flared up as my friends chuckled " yes that's the one " Kaede giggled .

" well I doubt you want to go into detail with your mom here so I won't ask , but let me just say this . It's more than likely she knows already Sora , you've been very clear from the beginning . "

My head sunk " if that's true then why hasn't anything changed "

" its possible she might be holding out for someone else , does she have a boy she liked other than you?"

Kaede gasped " Sasuke !"

Takashi frowned " you're saying Sakura isn't doing anything because she is hoping Sasuke would show up and sweep her off her feet ? She doesn't even know him anymore !"

My grandfather shrugged " Infatuation can cloud ones mind , she probably doesn't even realize that she's putting you on the sides "

I looked into my cup and sighed " you're saying I have to wait ?"

" yes , you might be ready to try a new relationship but she might not . "
