Sasuke is gone

The rest of the fight was Gaara against Kimimaru,  Lee and I fought where we could but it was clear that Gaara had this in the bag , I sustained a few injuries mostly cuts and brusies on the arms , legs , neck and face , one entry wound in my shoulder but nothing serious . What was more shocking was the fact that Kimimaru over came Gaara's sinking sand only to die literally a inch away from stabbing Gaara .

Lee looked at Kimimaru in complete shock "he ..he is dead " , I looked at Gaara as he sighed with relief . Gaara stood " we should rest before we return to the hidden leaf " . I stood " I'm going to look for Naruto , I'll be right back " , I made my way into the direction that Naruto and Sasuke disappeared to as Lee laid down .

I reached the great valley as the rain began , subtle lighting in the sky . I looked down into the valley to see two figures , hardly moving . I frowned and jumped down , as my feet landed on the water , Sasuke stood up and looked at me with disinterest  . He held his arm as the rain drenched his hair and clothing , he looked down beside him as I followed his gaze to see Naruto unconscious on the ground .

Sasuke began walking towards me , I didn't even feel a hint of aggression from him . He walked passed me as though I wasn't even there , I looked back at him " I hope you don't regret this " . Sasuke stopped in his tracks "regret not killing Naruto ?"

"No , regret abandoning the only people who cared for you " , he clicked his tongue but didn't say anything else as he continued to walk towards the shadows . I walked up to Naruto and picked him up , throwing him onto my back and gave him a piggy back ride back to Konoha .

Once we reached Konoha , I carried Naruto to the hospital where everyone else from the team had already been treated . I was put in the same room as Kiba as the bandaged my shoulder , Kiba sighed as he was laying down " I can't belive we failed " .

" Sasuke had no intention of coming back , even if we dragged him screaming and kicking . He would only cause us more trouble " Kiba nodded agreeing with me . The hospital bedroom door opened revealing Sakura , her expression was one of sorrow . I suppose she had high hopes for Sasuke's return , again I felt that sour taste just  thinking about it .

Sakura smiled " thankyou for trying Sora .  next time I will come with . Wait for me okay ?" I frowned " Sakura ....are you okay ?"

She bit her lip and looked down , Kiba looked at us and cleared his throat " I'm just gonna ....check on Akamaru ." he quickly left the room and closed the door . As soon as Kiba closed the door , Sakura began to cry . She ran into my arms and hugged me close as she cried .

I wrapped my arms around her as she cried into my chest , I didn't say anything else except "its okay " , I hated to see Sakura so upset over a person who didn't share the same sentiment . After a short while Sakura composed herself and sat up "thankyou " she smiled rubbing her eyes , I returned her smile .

The door suddenly slid open as my mother walked in , she smirked seeing us in each other's arms " am I interrupting?" , Sakura practically flew out of my arms " Ao sensei !". My mother chuckled " Sorry Sakura but I needed to tell Sora something . You can stay if you want ". My mom sat across me and smiled " You okay kiddo ?"  I nodded , she chuckled " of course you are . So I have your suggestion a thought and I agree . I will be taking you to your grandfather to train and learn some of our family's jutsu . You'll be there for about 2-3 years "

I immediately smiled " really ?when do we leave ?" , my mom stood "right now " , I was surprised " what ?but I haven't said goodbye to anyone yet " . My mom shrugged " we are traveling with Gaara back to the Hidden sand village . Sakura is here so she can tell everyone "

Sakura looked at my mom then at me sadly , I smiled " it won't be that long . Besides I'll be back soon . It's only 2 or 3  years " Sakura smiled sadly " yeah I guess so " . I quickly put my shoes on , walked up to her and embraced her . I whispered in her ear " don't change to much while I'm gone ". Sakura chuckled " you too , please keep this " she ruffled my hair . " I promise I will "

I then followed my mom out the hospital and met up with Gaara and his siblings , My mom looked at Gaara " shall we ?" He nodded . We all left the Hidden leaf village and made our way to the Hidden sand village
