One of the most common forms of torment on the Octopod is to suggest someone absolutely ridiculous that the person who's being tormented is in love with.
For example, Kwazii often tells Tweak, giggling, that she must have a crush on Robert Downey Jr. due to all the times she's watched Iron Man, but really, it's because she's a sucker for superhero movies and is taking notes on how to create her newest inventions from the Iron Man movies.
Tweak isn't entirely innocent either. She often likes to tell Kwazii that the only girl who can ever think he's handsome must've knocked back quite a lot of whiskey. She's also been known to gently tease Dashi from time to time about the sheer amount of celebrity crushes her bestie has had, but has always given Dashi hugs and assured her that her secret was safe with her.
No one can tease Peso about his crushes at all. For one, he's too pure and innocent to be involved in romance, and two, he could never do anything to anyone.
Whenever any of the younger people (Kwazii and Tweak) on the Octopod are mad at each other, they'll insist the Oh other has a crush on Inkling just to make them mad.
The Vegimals are far too innocent and pure for their own good and think they have a crush on everyone because "everyone is so beautiful and handsome" so that was fun to explain.
Inkling often gets teased because some people speculate he has a crush on Min, but he maintains through and through that they are only friends.
The kids often like making fun of each other's celebrity crushes. For example, Jane telling Squirt that he's in love with Tessa Thompson and him responding with "I like Jane Foster more than I like you." She's never cared. The kids often like to ship each other, and when Pinto asked Koshi if she liked Squirt, Koshi tries to friendzone him in the nicest way possible, but when Koshi asked Pinto if he liked Jane, he told her "I have standards, you know."
