Everyone has one little thing they've done that makes them feel guilty no matter how small and silly it is.
The Captain feels bad about the time he accidentally backed into Peso and knocked him over when he was trying to approach an angry crab without getting pinched. Peso forgave him on the spot, but the Captain still feels guilty.
Shellington has once ruined one of Inkling's books on accident, so he asked Dashi to drive him to the closest town or city to buy another one. It took him 3 days to find a replacement, and he still felt guilty whenever Inkling marveled at the fact that his book had been returned in a better condition than when he gave it away.
Koshi feels terrible about the time she broke one of Dashi's cameras and then asked Tweak to help her fix it. Dashi wondered for years why the button on the camera never did work right until Koshi finally confessed to her.
The Vegimals have felt guilty for loads of reasons before such as giving Shellydo a bit too much hot sauce and giving him a tummyache and the time they accidentally ripped a shelf off of the wall when they did a Vegimal tower to try and reach the dishes.
Kwazii has always felt bad about the time he broke the steering wheel of the Captain's favorite model ship and made a new one for him because he didn't want to Captain to be sad.
Pinto is guilty of telling his brother that he liked piano lessons when in reality, he skipped his piano lesson every other week because he absolutely hated it but he didn't want to make Peso sad, so he pretended to go.
