Many of the Octonauts have relationships that look bad on the outside, but are really good.
For example, Tweak and Kwazii. They seem like they hate each other and they swear on their lives that they can't stand each other, but the Captain finds them playing video games and cuddling each other at least 4 nights a week.
It may look like Tweak hates Shellington for always crashing her Gups, but in reality, her first thought when he tells her he crashed the Gup again is always if he's alright or not. If he is, then she'll begin yelling at him about the Gup.
Pinto and Squirt act like they hate each other, but honestly, they're just brothers and hate each other for the sake of hating each other.
People usually wouldn't expect Dashi and Tweak to get along due to their differences, but they do because they're the only girls on board and they're besties. In fact, Dashi can't go a day without giving Tweak cuddles because she loves her too much.
Koshi and Jane are something else. They're sisters, so they hate each other with a burning passion, but then again, Jane can't tell Dashi about why on earth the door to their room opens more slowly than usual, and Koshi can't tell Dashi about the camera she broke. Boys are useless when covering up a crime, and Tweak would (likely) tell Dashi, so they end up needing to rely on each other.
Shellington and Kwazii seem to be mortal enemies. Kwazii hates Shellington's info-dumps and Shellington doesn't trust Kwazii to not destroy everything he holds dear to him, but at the same time, Shellington kinda admires Kwazii and his "driving skills", and asked for a driving lesson, which is why it's not advised to leave both of them in the Launch Bay alone.
