Roasting Each Other

Everyone on the Octopod is a family, and as a family, they often like to mess with each other and tease each other.

One form of (unintentional) roasting is when anyone tries to guess Inkling's age, and other than Peso (who was being far too nice) everyone else had guessed something completely wrong.

It is physically impossible for Tweak to stop roasting Kwazii. To her, he's just too much fun to embarrass, and he has the greatest reactions to being insulted.

Kwazii has a tendency to want to roast Tweak, but he is in no way as smart as she is, so when he wants to make fun of her, he ends up telling her "U look like a carrot, and yer just as smart as one." And Tweak's comeback is, "Well you look like a potato." And this can go on for HOURS.

The Vegimals had tried to "roast" people before, but just ended up rubbing their paws/flippers/tentacles with their tiny flippers because they thought "roasting" meant raising someone's body heat so they wouldn't be cold anymore.

Peso is physically incapable of roasting any of his family mainly because he's too much of a sweet little sugar puff to say anything about the people he loves. The closest he's ever gotten to roasting someone is, "You're so smart that it's a wonder your mind hasn't exploded from the sheer amount of power it has."

The kids roast each other for fun every single day. So far, the childless adults have found the kids fighting with each other a source of entertainment and will practically sit to the side with popcorn watching them argue with one another.

The kids have told each other everything from "I like your sister more than you." to "Should I test if penguins can fly one more time from the top of the Octopod?" So far, none of the kids have ever gotten too offended by the roasts, even by the worst ones like when Jane was asked if she had a live model for the penguin she was attempting to draw because it was a bit too thin, and she should've made it a little bit pudgier, so she asked Pinto to come, and the time Pinto threw a stick and told Jane to go fetch it.

All the kids know that their friends are only kidding whenever they do something like that.
