Maverick came downstairs with his university bag hung on his broad shoulders, he threw the bag in a couch placed in the lounge and walked in the dining room just to hear his step-father talking to someone on the call and bella and Andrew eating their breakfast peacefully.
Maverick came and sat beside his mother in the table, and grabbed a sandwich before bella could give him it by herself.
"It's a very good news, dear!" Jacob exclaimed gladly, while Andrew and bella paid attention to Jacob while smiling crazily as if they had won a jackpot, while Maverick didn't care about what they had won or loss.
soon, Jacob hung the call and put his phone on the dining table, before smiling at bella and Andrew.
"Alba is coming on weekend." This time Maverick stopped chewing onto the bite of sandwich in his mouth, and looked at Jacob and then at Andrew and bella.
Alba was his older step-sister, whom he loved the most among his step-family. She also cared very much about Maverick just like she cared about Andrew; her real brother. Maverick was so glad, that he sat on his bike and rode it to the university.

Alethea was sitting in her car as the driver was driving towards the university, the car was quiet only the sound of tires moving in a speed could be heard low through the closed windows.
her phone rang up suddenly as it was an unknown number, she didn't think that this could be her mother but she picked up the call already.
"who—" , "Alethea, it's me, jane." stated the lady from the other side, Alethea couldn't process what she should do. she put her hand onto the phone's speaker and told the driver to stop the car for a while and get out from it as she wanted to attend a call, he did as she said.
"why are you calling me when i told you already that you've no place in my life now!" Alethea growled angrily, "i know you're very mad on me, but trust me, I'm sorry." Jane apologised, making Alethea chuckle.
"If your sorry could take us back 12 years then i will forgive you." Alethea said with a broken smile, "i want to see you.." demanded Jane, Alethea gulped as she didn't know what to say back, "N-No, i can't." with that she hung the call up and took a deep breath.
'do i really don't want to see her or I wouldn't be able to face her?' Alethea asked herself.
she walked upstairs to the first floor as her classroom was located there, it seemed like she was thinking about something else while walking.
The door of grandmother's bedroom swang opened revealing a teenage girl who was 13 years old at that time; Alethea.
"Ale? what happened, my—"
"where's mum?" Alethea asked cutting off her granny, and soon after hearing her, her granny shot her head at the young girl who walked inside the bedroom more and stared at her granny.
"didn't i tell you that she's at her friend—" , "NO, SHE'S NOT!" Alethea shouted as tears from her eyes streamed down to her cheeks, "Don't lie, granny. I've heard dad talking to uncle jacob that mom had— she had left me for forever." She bursted into more tears and sat down in the floor.
while granny's eyes were also teary, as she knelt down at alethea's level amd pulled her into her embrace.
she wasn't supposed to reveal this reality to Alethea yet, granny was waiting for a perfect time. But now Alethea knew it all by herself, so it's a great time to explain.
Tears slipped down from Alethea's eyes after reminding when she heard her father talking to his friend named— Jacob. and they were talking about her mother Jane, that she had ran away leaving them forever
The bell rang up but she couldn't hear that as she was busy reminding the moment again and again with tears slipping from her eyes, she didn't realise the door of the classroom opening revealing Kavin talking to Maverick.
but when Kavin saw Maverick looking in-front straight at something, so he also looked in-front of himself and saw Alethea.
"Alethea?" Kavin mumbled in his breathe out of confused as they both saw tears dripping down from her jawline, before Maverick could speak more, she collapsed but Maverick and Kavin both were active enough to hold her from falling.
Maverick held her into his arms and went to the nursing room of the building, while Kavin was behind him, both worried.
