The lapping sound of sea water to the seashore was filling the ears of Maverick, while he was sitting at the sand under the dark starry sky with tears in his eyes, it was around 11pm

his hair flying with the cold wind and with a single blink the tears escaped from his dark brown eyes down to his cheeks.

"Happy birthday to you~ happy birthday to you~ happy birthday dear Maverick~ happy birthday to you~" a handsome tall man and a beautiful woman sang the song for little Maverick.

he was continuously smiling as he was so glad to see how his parents arranged a surprise birthday party for him, just him, his father; Henry Diaz and his mother; Bella Diaz

"I love you, daddy." little Maverick said kissing the cheek of his father and his mother, "we love you too, prince." said father of Maverick, "let's cut the cake, son." his mother said softly to her little happy son.

with that he cut the cake, "do you remember my gift, daddy?" Maverick asked his father, his father looked up at his loving wife and smiled at her as she also did the same back before looking at their son.

"I'll bring it on my way back home from office in the evening, okay?" Henry said as Maverick nodded with a wide smile.

sniffling his nose, a small sad laugh left his lips as if he was glad to remember his past when he was 8. literally only 8.

"Boy, you should go home!" a shout came from beisde a little far, a man standing who was in charge of the beach and lives nearby, might be in his sixties.

with that Maverick stood up and checked the time in his phone, it showed 11:45pm.

he walked towards his motorbike and drove away in the darkness of the night, driving through the highways. he didn't want to go back home but where could he stay.

Parking his motorbike in the parking of his- no, his step-father's big luxury house, he walked inside and luckily the door was unlocked, his mother: bella, must've left it unlocked as he was out.

he was about to enter his room, when he heard a voice from behind that was a female and was familiar to him.

"where are you coming from?" the voice asked, he turned around and saw his mother in her night dress. he didn't want to tell her that he was at his only calming place: seashore. so he kept quiet.

"it's 12am, Maverick. why do you keep coming home this late?" bella asked trying to keep her voice low.

"home?" Maverick repeated her word with a shocking voice, "Yes. Home. It's been 12 years of you, of me living here in this house and still why aren't you used to it?" Her voice was broken and she choked at the end.

"Because this house and the people living in this house have never looked at me as their family." Maverick stated with no expressions on his face nor in his eyes, "why.." bella whinned when Maverick was about to enter his bedroom.

He turned around immediately, "because I'm full of faults." he whispered near her face, and it was not mannered one to talk to your mother like this. she gulped looking into his eyes, with that he slammed the door closed.

as the door was shut locked, his cold and rude expressions were changed into sad ones, as his forehead wrinkle as he let out the tears escape from his eyes whom he was holding back since a while.

he knew his mother didn't left, he slid down against the door and sat in the cold floor with tears flowing down from his dark eyes staring at the white ceiling of his room.

he didn't want to be like this. but he could not prevent it from coming out.

Nowadays it seems like whatever comes out of his mouth is more dangerous than poison.
