The university was over now for just today. Alethea walked out from the campus and as she was standing at the huge campus gate, her eyes caught Maverick who was about to put on his helmet but she was fast enough to stop him by calling his name.
He looked at her face, she looked up into his eyes with a wide smile crept over her pink lips. but he wasn't passing him some pleasing expression nor he was smiling, after clearing her throat she spoke.
"How are you?" she asked instead of questioning him about why wasn't he attending her calls since last night, he just nodded his head in reply while sliding his fingers in his Jean's pockets only.
"I-I was calling you last night, but you didn't attend." He nodded his head, "Yeah sorry, i slept early." He lied so smoothly, she nodded her head with a small smile on her lips while she knew that something was off with him.
"Do you still work at that café?" He nodded his head without words which made her a bit awkward but she wanted to talk to him just, "I'm craving for your coffee." She said grinning hoping he would smile but he didn't.
"Maverick," she called his name and looked at her shoes after, while he was staring at her. "I've something to tell you, do you remember when you dropped me home, at that night dad came to my room and told me to stay away from you but the second thing he stated was much weird," she paused and look up into his eyes.
"He said that i should spend more time with Andrew and be friend with him. i wanted to tell you this since last night but you weren't picking up my calls, im very disturbed." she completed concerned.
the Maverick who wasn't smiling or laughing on some stupid things, he laughed at the statement Alethea just told him even when the statement was whole serious.
"You should obey your father." With that he sat in his bike and drove away leaving Alethea all confused, what's wrong with him?
But!
Her eyes were filled with tears, after seeing the behaviour of Maverick today. Whenever she thinks that he is fine now and that they have become the friendship between them, then something happens that breaks all her illusions, and always makes her feel disappointed in herself.
soon her car arrived and she sat down in it before driving to the home again.

standing by the railing of his bedroom's balcony, Maverick blew out the smoke of cigrette from his mouth making the air polluted but his mind and heart pure.
"Daddy~" little Maverick hugged his father Henry as he was kneeled down to his 5 years old son, Henry kissed his son's forehead as it was the time of Maverick's primary school's departure.
"Mr Diaz?" Henry stood up and saw Maverick's homeroom teacher standing in-front, Maverick also looked up at the elegant and young lady with doe eyes. Before giving a pretty smile to the little Maverick she spoke.
"You and Mrs Diaz have raised such a gentleman, Mr Diaz, today a girl from Maverick's class fell down while running, her friends didn't help her but Maverick gave her piggy back and took her to the nursing room, he stayed there until her wounded and bleeding knees were dressed up." she said smiling at Henry and as well as Maverick.
Henry looked down at his side to see his son smiling at him looking up, "thank you so much for informing, Miss Eliza, i think I've to give him candy treat today." Henry laughed at the end.
a small sad chuckle left his mouth after remembering a moment from his past again, "Proud. i think now nobody is proud of me," he blew the smoke out, "are you also not...dad? i really don't want to leave Alethea but i think she's not in my destiny." he paused again.
"i know i had hurt her feelings, or maybe also her expectations. But dad i know that you're the only one who knows from what I'm going through." he bursted into tears now, throwing his cigrette.
he pushed himself back inside his bedroom, his heart beating so fast as if it was going to come out from his chest through his mouth. he limped towards the side drawer beside the bathroom door, he gulped the white tablet to calm his anxiety attacks.
