-Monday-
"So what did you get up to this weekend?" Jane asks me as I sit on the countertop as she chops up some fruit for her lunchbreak at work. I stop kicking my legs, looking down at the floor as I try to think of anything other than what me and Melody did or driving my teacher home...
"I...You know, just me things." I laugh awkwardly, scratching the side of my head, trying my best to not mess up my small but messy space buns.
"Really?" She looks at me and I swallow as I nod. She knows...No, she doesn't—how would she know? I'm just overthinking it.
"What about you? How was the business trip?" I smile and she shrugs, looking away, she's nervous now...We both have secrets...But, what are her secrets?
"You know, business things." She sets the knife down and I look at her suspiciously.
"Hm."
"What's with the look?" She asks, looking to me.
"What are you hiding, Jane?" I cross my arms, tilting my head as I smile at Jane.
"Why—What would I be hiding?" She straightens up, yeah, she's definitely hiding something.
"I don't know, but I will find out." I hop down off of the counter, tapping my boots against the floor.
"Wait, how do I look? I tried out a new look." I do a little spin for Jane. By a new look I mean a skirt, I usually stick to jeans but I decided on a skirt with my tights that have little black hearts on them today. Oh—and my green, wool sweater, then just my black boots.
I also did a little bit of eyeliner even though I'm not good at doing makeup, and of course, my mascara—and a tad bit of lipstick.
Today, I decided to wear my chain with a little crescent moon on it. Oh, and my rings, lots of rings as usual.
"You look like you're trying to impress someone and I think you will with this new look. Go, quick before you're late." Jane says and I grab my things quickly, she calls after me, telling me that she loves me and I say it back.

At the start of lunch, Melody messages me, asking me to meet her in the bathroom so I make my way to the bathrooms. I haven't spoken to her since Saturday night...
I step into the bathroom, spotting her at one of the sinks. I smile widely and she nods for me to walk closer.
"Hi." I speak while still smiling, she isn't smiling too much, not at all actually...I need to stop smiling.
"Hey...I thought we could go to the library again then go outside and sit with Ciara and stuff." She leans off of the sink and I nod immediately.
"Are you looking for a book?" I ask and she shrugs, she takes my hand and I follow her, trying my best to keep calm.
"Maybe you can help me find something?" She looks back at me, a little smirk curving its way onto her lips and I nod again. Stop nodding. Words, Diana.
We step into the library and Melody stops, I almost bump into her but I look where she is looking. I spot the librarian, some students and Miss Snow looking through boxes of books.
"Are you girls here to help?" The librarian asks and Melody looks back at me, rolling her eyes.
"No, we're looking for a book." Melody pulls my hand and I look back at Miss Snow as I follow after Melody. Her eyes flick to me and Melody's hands before to me, shaking her head.
I look away following Melody down one of the aisles. She turns to me, not letting go of my hand.
"About Friday, I enjoyed it. I really did and...it could happen again. Only if you want it to though, do you?" She lets go of my hand, looking at some books and I crack my fingers at my sides, how do I say yeah, I really want it to happen again without sounding desperate?
