-Diana's POV-

-A week later-

"Diana, are you still sure about this? I'm sure you have other plans for your Friday evening other-"

"Bella, I promise you that it's fine, you two have fun. Me and Theo will have even more fun carving pumpkins." I smile at Bella before she nods.

"Remember his bedtime is-"

"Ten thirty, I got it seriously." She laughs and nods, walking over to the door before stepping outside.

"We won't be back later than two am." She waves and I wave back while smiling before closing the door.

Floyd and Bella were talking the other day about how they never get out anymore, so, I convinced them to have a date night and I will watch Theo. I told them that I'm looking for a place and they told me to stay, Bella said I should stay till I graduate and then I can go to college and come back anytime I want. They really make sure that I'm comfortable and I honestly am. I didn't expect to stay here this long already. I tried to give them money too, just for letting me stay and Floyd gave it back saying that I don't have to pay anything. He also said that I'm part of their family now.

It actually made me a bit emotional, Floyd telling me that because my blood family is pretty messed up, I mean the closest person that I had to a Mom betrayed me. But, there's something about this family...They're different from my "real" family, they're not related to me by blood yet they make me feel like they are. They make me fit in and that's what's so special because I don't fit in with most people. I mean there's—or should I say was Jane until she did what she did but there was just some things that I couldn't talk to her about, I don't feel the need to hide here.

Anyway, the last week, Miss Snow has been on my mind more and more and I keep coming up with excuses to not be around her. She's been a little odd the last few days or so, she's been grumpier. Maybe because I didn't have detention for the last week with her.

"Pumpkin time!" Theo runs out in his joker pyjamas and I laugh as we walk into the big kitchen, walking towards the marble island in the center of the kitchen.

"I'll cut the top of the pumpkin and you can get the seeds out, deal?" I say and he nods, jumping onto the marble island top. I walk to the dark drawers, picking out the knife before walking back to the island, beside him.

"So, how's school?" I ask him while I begin to cut the top of the pumpkin, he fixes his curls as he shrugs his shoulders.

"It's okay, I guess, some kids are kinda mean in my class but it doesn't bother me too much." I look up at him and he shrugs his shoulder again. Is anyone nice in the world anymore?

"Do they say mean things to you?"

"Sometimes, they just call me weird and stuff. I don't really care though."

"Theo, have you told your parents about it?" I ask him and he shakes his head quickly.

"Mom and Dad will just make a big deal out of it."

"It's a serious matter, if they make you upset-"

"Can we stop talking about school and take out the pumpkin guts?" He interrupts me and I put down the knife and pick up the marker instead to draw the pumpkins face.

After I finish drawing the design onto the pumpkin, my phone dings on the table so I rush over to it incase it's Arabella.
