-Diana's POV-
This is obsessive. Is it obsessive? Yeah, it is.
I still knock on her door before taking two steps back, fixing my cardigan. She hasn't been at school since Tuesday...which was four days ago and she hasn't responded to me. I've been worried, not only because she's been missing school but because she was supposed to come over Tuesday night...she never showed up so I think something happened.
The door unlocks and I straighten up before the door is pulled open, Natalie rubs her eye before dropping her hand as she looks at me.
"Diana..." She says, surprised—but she said she doesn't get surprised, okay, we got over that long ago...I look over her, expecting a broken leg or something but no, she's just in silk pyjamas.
"Hi...Sorry, I brought you cookies." I adjust the bag strap on my shoulder before pulling out the small tin of cookies...
"For what?" She looks me up and down as she takes the tin. I shrug as I take another step back, almost falling down the step, I catch myself before dusting my clothes off as if I actually fell.
"I...Are you okay?" I ask her and she looks around, shrugging.
"I'm alright, are you?"
"Yeah, I've been...fine, just worried."
"Worried about..?"
"You." I say, my eyes flicking down to the thin straps on her silk maroon shirt. This is very obsessive and she's weirded out, especially by the cookies but I made them just for her...
"Why?" She leans her head against her door and I shrug, glancing to the converse on my feet as I tap them against the concrete awkwardly.
"Because you've kind of been...ignoring me and you haven't been at school, I waited up for you on Tuesday—I fell asleep at two am though, sorry if you called."
"I didn't."
"Oh." I say, my cheeks heating up, I'm going red, not because I'm nervous but because I'm stupid and embarrassed.
"Did something—"
"Nothing happened, Diana." She sighs and I lift my shoulders before dropping them, glancing to her. I'm such an idiot.
Why am I being ignored recently? First Charlie now her. What have I done to make them ignore me? Is communication not a thing anymore? Is it not cool to communicate?
"Enjoy your cookies, I guess. I won't stay up late expecting a review of them or anything—I won't even ask how they are because I'll probably get no response anyway." I turn away, walking down the steps. I wait for her to call after me, tell me some lame excuse but I hear the door shut.

I stand at my locker, fixing some books around before the locker beside mine opens, I glance, doing a double take as Abbie, the girl I went to the dance with, looks in her locker. She looks back at me, also doing a double take.
"Diana, hi, how are you?" She asks and I shrug, not smiling as I bend down to my bag, trying to occupy myself until class starts. Usually, I have Charlie but me and him aren't on the best of terms and he's not here.
