I sit in my kitchen reading a book while eating my cereal. Sadie starts running around the kitchen and I laugh putting down my book.

"Come here, girl." I smile and she runs over, standing up on her back paws, she rests her front ones on my leg to stay balanced, I scratch under her ears and kiss her forehead.

"We can go out on a walk after I get changed." I tell her and stand up, bringing my bowl over to the sink, I walk out of the kitchen and go up to my room. The weather is getting colder so I can change into a white wool sweater with jeans and my converse.

My phone buzzes after I change and I pick it up to see a new email. I click into it seeing the email address, it's from Miss Snow. At the start of the school year, we always get our teachers emails so we can email them questions or if they want to tell us anything. I sit on my bed as I read it.

Hello Diana,

I apologise for my behaviour last night. I drank too much, more than I could handle. Evidently. Now that I am sober, I can acknowledge how unprofessional and absurd it was.

By any chance, did I leave my heels with you? Those, along with an embarrassing secret which I hope can stay between us.

Unless, you're still set on getting me fired over the detentions I gave you?  This would make for useful ammunition...

I read over the email a few times, almost memorising it even though I understood it the first time. She thinks I will get her fired for last night? I'm not that mean.

I smile and send an email back telling her that I will bring the heels to school Monday and that the secret is safe with me. I walk down the stairs grabbing Sadie's lead, trying to get my mind off of last night and the email.

I lay down on the couch rubbing Sadie when my phone buzzes with a message from Melody. Me and Charlie have sat with Melody and Ciara this week and melody and I have talked a lot, she's really nice...and smart too.

Hey, are you doing anything tonight?xx

Nope, why??

Melody
Do you want to hang out? Just you and me I mean. ;)

Diana
Sure, what do you wanna do??

Melody
Anything. What do you want to do??

Diana
Not sure, my Aunt is out of town so you can come over and we can watch a movie if you'd like?

Melody
Okay, what time?

Diana
How's 8?

Melody
Perfect, it's a date xx

A date? I've never been on a date. Obviously. Especially with a girl...What if I don't like girls and I'm leading her on? Oh god, I need Charlie.

I quickly call Charlie, I listen to the phone ringing as I stand up, pacing around the room.

"Charlie!" I practically shout as he answers.

"What!" He shouts back.

"Melody is coming over later and she said it's a date and I don't know what to do or what to wear, do I have to dress up or—"
