-Natalie's POV-

I check my watch noticing that there's only five minutes left before detention ends. Diana hasn't spoken much and I'm not complaining, she's just usually more talkative, she's a yapper after all. But, I suppose she has a lot on her mind.

Especially after today.

Melody's parents forced her to hand over her phone to me and Mrs Daniel's in the end, we had to find the videos meaning we watched them. The first one was the party one, Diana came out of some closet all shaken up and crying, it was the same night that I saw her, the same night that I helped her get cleaned up because she was a mess.

She looked so frightened after being in there, she was sobbing and she looked around the room, she looked like she was waiting for someone to help her, you can hear all of them laughing at her, you can also see Charlie slapping Melody's phone causing the video to go black.

The second video was worse, the one that wasn't posted. It wasn't only Diana in it, Melody was in it too. They weren't exactly fully clothed so I turned it off almost immediately. I deleted both videos from her phone completely.

"Diana." I call out, walking down the aisles looking for her, who decided to make a huge library in a school? Don't get me wrong, I love books but half of these books are the reason people why don't bother picking one up. They're terrible...

I walk down another aisle and spot Diana reading a book, she looks very concentrated. I walk up behind her and peer over her shoulder, getting a whiff of whatever cheap vanilla perfume she wears.

"What the hell are you reading?" I ask and she slams the book shut, turning her head and side eyeing me.

"Nothing, I just got bored." She attempts to put the book back onto the shelf and struggles. I take the book out of her hand and put it back for her so I don't have to slam her against another bookshelf. She became a nervous mess over it the last time.

"Well, detention isn't supposed to be fun, is it?" I cross my arms and nod towards the door and she walks a little behind me, I slow down and she does too. She's trying to stay behind me but what for.

"Diana."

"What?" She sighs and I stop immediately at the tone of her voice.

"Watch the attitude." I look back at her, warning her and she frowns, her blue eyes staying on the filthy red carpet in here.

"Sorry, I'm just tired."

"No, you're not, tell me what's wrong. You've been acting weird this whole time. I know today has been shit for you but why are you being weird with me?" I turn to face her, I look at her and she doesn't look back at me. There's just an awful silence. She was fine with me earlier when we were in the bathroom, now she's being weird.

"Diana."

"I'm tired, how long is left?"

"I'll tell you once you tell me what's wrong."

"I don't have to tell you anything." She huffs. What's with the switch up? She goes to walk past me and I stop her by putting my hand on her shoulder which makes her immediately meet my eye. About time.

"I'm not being nosy, I'm concerned."

"You don't know me, you're just my teacher and I'm just tired." She plasters a small smile onto her face that is obviously fake. I hope she doesn't dream of becoming an actress anytime soon.

"I know you well enough to know that you act like everything's perfect when it's not. I'm not stupid, Darling, I know a fake smile when I see one." I drop my hand and she looks away from me, I hum, looking her up and down.
