Sadie gets off the couch as I wait for Miss Snow to come over, she nudges the living room door open with her nose. I watch her looking around out in the hall.

"What are you doing, girl?" I ask Sadie and she doesn't even spare me a glance, instead she begins growling. On Halloween night, of course. Because that's the perfect night to start growling at anything.

I get up slowly and Sadie starts barking, I grab a hair brush off of the coffee table and slowly move towards the living room door before I hear the doorbell ring making me jump and my soul nearly leaves my body.

I jump and run to the door opening it and seeing Miss Snow with a coat on, still drenched while holding a grocery bag.

"Trick or treat." She says, Sadie starts barking as she looks in the kitchen where the lights are off. Why didn't I think to turn all of the lights on?

"That's why I am not a dog person." She adds and I open the door for her to come in.

"I think someone's in my kitchen." I whisper and she rolls her eyes as she wipes her shoes off of the doormat.

"And the hairbrush would do damage?"

"It would do something!" I whisper loudly and she closes the door before putting the bag down. She holds out her hand and I look at her.

"Oh, I'm terrified too, I need you to hold my hand and I'll go first." She states and I slide my hand into hers quickly, her hands are cold again, of course they are, she was outside in the rain. My heart quickens and she starts walking toward the kitchen. My heart is only beating quicker because I'm scared of the situation...and maybe her.

"Where's the light switch?" She asks me.

"Just inside the door." I answer, squeezing her cold hand.

"Very descriptive, Diana, a lot of help." She says and she walks into the kitchen, turning the light on.

"Ah!" She screams and I jump back, falling over my own feet making me fall to the ground before she begins laughing down at me.

"You are such an idiot."

"I'm the idiot? You are the one who scared the life out of me after I told you that I thought someone broke into my house." I breathe, well, I attempt to but it's not easy when someone just shouted, making me think that ghost face was in my kitchen.

She holds her hands out to me, I glance at her hands, my eyes lingering before I push myself up, not accepting her help.

"Does it look like anyone is here?" She asks and I look around, no it does not.

"No, but why else would Sadie be barking?"

"Maybe because she's a dog? She can't exactly talk, Darling." She says and I roll my eyes.

-Natalie's POV-

I walk out of her kitchen and go over to the bag, I brought wine and candy..I was supposed to go to the club with Tatum, Maria, Quinn and Cole but they invited Olivia too.

"Can I hang my coat up here?" I motion towards her coat rack before I glance back at the blonde, she nods her head quickly. I zip down my coat before taking it off, hanging it on the rack, adjusting it slightly.

"I brought wine and more candy than we could need." I tell her, picking up the bag before holding up a bottle of wine.

"I don't drink." She tells me and I put the wine back in the bag. Not a problem.

"But, you can drink if you'd like! I'm not stopping you." She smiles widely at me, her blue eyes shining and I shake my head, looking around the bright hall.
