"Where did Alicent go?" Avalon questioned "i thought she would be joining us today?" Rhaenyra shook her head her arms crossed over her chest completely annoyed.
"Alicent was here?" Viserys questioned
"She came and left just as quickly." Rhaenyra hissed.
"Did she get a chance to see her father?" Avalon questioned
"I dont know. She just ran away. And she wouldnt tell me why!" Rhaenyra whined leaning back in the carriage.
"I hope she is alright. Greyjoys can be a bit much and being so far isolated from her family..." avalon began but she supposed alicent had been isolated for the past few years. Unbeknownst to anyone but otto it seemed.
"How nice of her to stop by for Aegons name day though." Viserys offered "and isn't this splendid. The whole of our family off to celebration and adventure in the Kings wood.' Viserys remarked looking around the carriage trying to change the topic. It was a happy day and Rhaenyra had a very deep set frown on her face.
"Daemon is not here." Avalon reminded him and viserys grabbed her hand.
"Thank the Gods for that." Viserys whispered and avalon kicked lightly at his shin. "What? I swore to speak the truth to you my love." Viserys reminded her innocently.
'Should you be traveling in such condition?' Rhaenyra questioned.
'The maester said that being out in nature would do me well.' Avalon said but in truth she didn't like the journey it made her feel uneasy on the bumpy roads she would rather be flying that was true fresh air.
"You look like you are having a grand time Auntie." Rhaenyra agreed.
"I would have ridden Mouse here, that's real fresh air.'' Avalon told Viserys.
"That's too much fresh air." Viserys told her.
"That's more than this stuffy carriage, bumping along every stone." Avalon countered. Three years married to Avalon and
'Well, you will be with your own child sooner than late, and make me a proud grand sire.' Viserys said happily but Rhaenyra had no interest in men. 'Aegon came quickly and without fuss.' Viserys remarked but Avalon burst out laughing.
"Maybe for you!" She shouted and Rhaenyra chuckled. "You didn't have to push a child out of your body. Try it then tell me it is quick and without fuss. It was a fucking mess and painful." Avalon told him. "You are lucky you are so cute but you have a big head." Avalon told Aegon running a gentle hand down his cheek to his chin.
"Sounds pleasant." Rhaenyra agreed. "I'm going to stick with Aunt Avalon's experience to your witnessing childbirth."
"Avalon is your-' Viserys began.
"Yes, do listen to me, we all know I'm in charge here." Avalon agreed silencing Viserys he nodded grabbing her hand again.
'You should ride out with me today. Join in the chase.' Viserys offered
'I'd rather not. The boars squeal like children when they're being slaughtered. I find it discomforting'. Rhaenyra said looking out the window.
'It's a hunt, Rhaenyra.' Viserys reminded her trying to keep a smile on his face as Aegon babbled happily. 'How would you like to participate?' Viserys pondered.
'I'm not sure why I must.' Rhaenyra countered.
'Because you are my daughter... The Princess. And you have duties.' Viserys reminded her.
'As I am ceaselessly reminded.' Rhaenyra murmured softly.
'I'm sorry?' Viserys questioned leaning towards her.
