Viserys sat with a sigh when he got to his chambers as Avalon put a blanket over his lap.

''I do not need a-' Viserys began but Avalon gave it to him anyways.

"You get cold." Avalon told him innocently.

"What would I do without you?" Viserys asked.

"Freeze your toes and remaining limb off." Avalon offered sweetly as she kissed his cheek.

''The Hand, Your Grace.'' Criston remarked

''The King is resting.'' Avalon told him and Criston nodded turning back around but Viserys spoke up.

''I will see him.'' Viserys corrected.

''Lean forward.'' Avalon requested fluffing his pillow.

''I'm being endlessly fussed over, Lyonel.'' Viserys remarked ''It's a wonder I can visit the privy alone.''

"Sorry that I care." Avalon sassed.

''Your Grace, your grace....''

''What might this errand be about, Lord Lyonel?''

''Your Grace, I feel... I have come to resign my position as Hand of the King. The episode in the yard this morning. My son Harwin has disgraced himself and every fishwife in King's Landing will soon be telling the tale.'' Lyonel told them.

''Young Harwin's outburst was unfortunate, it's true. But he's been expelled from the City Watch. That seems punishment enough.'' Viserys told him

''Forgive me, Your Grace, it is not.'' Lyonel told them sadly.

''You have served me faithfully for many years, 10 as Hand. Your advice has been sage, unmarked by self-interest... which stands in contrast to all others.'' Viserys assured

''You speak kind words... but there is a shadow over my house and it grows... ever darker. I can no longer serve you with integrity.'' Lyonel told him solemnly.

''What is this shadow? Name it, if it casts such a gloom.'' Viserys offered. Avalon spun the ring on her finger nervously. She knew this day would come. But she didn't want Harwin to leave. Sure Rhaenyra and Harwin's actions were not suitable of the heir but they were happy, the children were happy. That was all Avalon cared about.

''I cannot.'' Lyonel told him.

''Then I cannot accept this.''

"I want to take Harwin back to harr-" Lyonel began.

''Honestly that's not Necessary.'' Avalon assured him ''everyone's fine no one died.''

''I'm sorry Grace but that is not enough, not enough.'' Lyonel told her

''Honestly lyonel. They got into a tiff.'' Avalon assured ''harwin gets on great with the boys he is protective.'' Avalon pleaded. ''Don't take him away from her boys. You know her husband isn't around much and it's nice for them, it is good for them to have a role model like him in their life.'' Lyonel looked between the king and the queen

''I know what he did was disgraceful.''

''What he did... Standing up for the younger boys'' Avalon corrected.

''Your sons could've been hurt he could've hurt them.'' he reminded Avalon

''He pulled Aegon back off of his nephew, and I assure you my sons so done worse to each other. Please do not leave. Do not send Harwin away." Avalon begged.

''He is to be the next Lord of harrenhall." Lyonel went on. ''he should get a lay of the land allow me to take a temporary leave and get him situated.''
