Avalon stared around the table her fingers trilling on the oak as she stood confident before them.

"Tonight could have been a lot worse." Avalon informed them all. "Aemond claimed Vhagar. Baela and Rhaena were not happy about that." She kept her voice calm and even. "Jace and Luke were trying to be good cousins but with all the recent fighting I think we lost our mission." Avalon remarked. "We are family. All of us. One of us fails we all fail. We must not fight among each other. Our children are the future of the seven kingdoms, everyone from all over the realm will look to them once we pass and expect them to be brave and courageous but also able to be compassionate and have passion for things other than war."

"Your son-" Rhaenys began.

"My son." Avalon agreed. "Prince Aemond Targaryen. Dragon rider. What he did was brave and foolish. But what your granddaughters did was idiotic and murderous." Avalon sneered.

"He-"

"I'm not done." Avalon hissed and Rhaenys sat back down with a huff. "Aemond claimed a free dragon. There is nothing wrong with that. The conversations the children had after wards, although I don't know the extent I know no words should ever result in blades drawn." Daemon watched Avalon with pure lust and desire. Queen Avalon was sexy.

"Even after I arrived pulling Aemond back, Rhaena decided it was still a good idea to lung at Aemond. At myself." Avalon informed Rhaenys and Rhaenys grit her teeth. "That in itself is punishable by death." Avalon reminded her. "But I am not a violent person."

"What would you like to do your grace?" Daemon asked.

"Daemon, they are your girls. So you tell me if this sounds acceptable." Avalon offered.

"How gracious." Daemon answered.

"Driftmark is your home, your land. You may keep it. You will relinquish your dragons to me though. You and your kin will not return to dragonstone, kings landing, or any other Targaryen controlled regions for as long as the Tagaryen's reign." Avalon told her.

"My Dragon-"

"Both, your dragon and Baela's. Your titles will be striped but you may keep your lands. If there is even a whiff of rebellion there will be nothing left of your house." Avalon told them. Corlys scoffed.

"Sounds fair." Daemon agreed.

"What of Jace and Luke?" Rhaenys hissed. "they had just as much-"

"Jace and luke are my grandchildren. They will stay at the capital where I can keep a better eye on them." Avalon told her. "Where is Laenor?" Avalon questioned.

"Haven't seen him for hours your grace." Criston informed her.

"Rhaenyra?"

"I don't know. Last I saw he was in the waters." Rhaenyra answered.

"The hand of the king should be chosen and making these decisions, not you." Rhaenys hissed. Avalon stared back at her.

"What's the matter Rhaenys, you don't like a woman in total control of herself and the room? Must be hard for you. But this is a kindness." Avalon assured.

"I heard Otto hightower was called upon but he was burned at the gates." Corlys agreed. "Perhaps we are putting our faith in the wrong house."

"Hold your tongue." Viserys demanded.

"You Targaryens and your tempers." Corlys hissed. "You will burn us all to the ground!" Daemon stepped forward very calmly and sliced Corlys head free.

"He can keep his tongue." Daemon remarked

"I offer you a peace and your husband insults me." Avalon remarked calmly. "Cousin...do learn from his mistakes. Take your granddaughters, leave your dragons."

"They won't listen to you." Rhaenys hissed.

"We shall see." Avalon countered. "I would like my brother Daemon to be hand of the king but after his demonstration I don't think most would agree to that." Avalon remarked and the council agreed as Viserys grabbed her hand.

"I was never to be ones lacky." Daemon agreed.

"I don't want to start a war but know that I will to protect my family." Avalon warned. "Now, it is late. Good night."

"Mama?" Avalon turned around and looked to Aemond. "What did you do?" he asked curiously as she ran her hands over his handsome face.

"What do you mean?"

"You... in the cave you like.." he didn't know how to explain it. Avalon knelt before him.

"You know for years I always told your daddy that one day I would be a dragon. A real dragon. I felt that power, that feeling when you are flying, that anything is possible feeling when I saw them coming at you." Avalon told him. "It felt like something inside of me broke free."

"You are magic mama." Aemond told her.

"I think we all have a little bit of magic in us." Avalon told him.

"Are you taking their dragons?" Aemond asked nodding to the dragons curled up on the sandy shores.

"They think dragons, everyone-'' she corrected. "-thinks that dragons give us power. They are right. Dragons are dangerous but they are also protective. I don't want their vengeance to bubble like the flames before the madness, I don't want them thinking they can hurt you or your siblings because of the call I made." Avalon told him.

"What if they hurt you? The dragons?" Aemond asked.

"Protecting you is worth a bit of burns." Avalon assured. "But you my handsome boy should go to bed. It is late." She kissed his forehead and he nodded turning back inside. Daemon ruffled his hair as he passed him.

"Uncle Daemon?"

"Yeah kid?"

"I'm worried about mama." Aemond admitted. Daemon glanced back at Avalon, fearless moving to the dragons.

"I will keep an eye on her." Daemon assured.

"Meleys.... Moondancer... hello Vhagar." Avalon said running a hand along the scales. She felt such a deep connection to the dragons, she always had. Daemon watched her from afar hypnotized by her. Meleys shifted a growl in her throat but Avalon approached head on. She reached out a hand and Daemon couldn't see it from where he stood but Avalon's eyes shifted. Meleys settled and bowed before Avalon. Moondancer follower and Vhagar stared back at her.

"ñuhon." Avalon declared. "ñuhon." She repeated and Vhagar bowed as well. "Good, glad we understand each other." Avalon said nodding as she rubbed a hand over Vhagar's nose. "Aemond is going to take such good care of you, pretty girl." Avalon coed.  Daemon couldn't help the laugh that escaped him. Avalon spun around and her newly acquired dragons got ready to protect their new master.

"You never cease to amaze me Avalon." Daemon remarked.
