The chapter opens up in Konoha. After things have calmed down, Sakura heard Naruto's voice screaming. So she rushes towards the battle scene and was shocked to see her beloved husband's condition in a distance. She runs towards Naruto and tries so hard to stop her husband from losing more blood.
- Sakura to Naruto : What happen?!!!
Naruto just sat, speechless and felt hopeless because he wasn't able to make it in time before Borushiki stabbed him.
- Sakura (cries): Anata !! NO NO NO NOO PLEASE NO !!! Please open your eyes, Don't do this to me and Sarada. You're strong !! Everything's gonna be fine.

They managed to get Sasuke to the hospital and tried their best to save him. Sakura asks Hinata to use her Byakugan to monitor Sasuke's heartbeat. Hinata noticed that his heartbeat is getting weaker but she was hesitated to tell Sakura about it since Sakura is panicking.
A few hours later, Sarada returned to Konoha because she sensed something was wrong. She left her mission with the Shikadai's team. When she arrived she was terrifyingly shocked to see the horror state of her home village and she immediately thought of her father. So he asked one of the recovery teams in the area. One of them told her that they saw Sakura taking Sasuke to the hospital.
When he arrived at the hospital, she immediately rushed to the emergency room to find her mother still trying to save Sasuke. The guards tries to restrain her and calm her down but Hinata comes out and tells them to let Sarada into the operating room since she had a bad feeling that Sasuke was going to die.
- Sarada (holding Sasuke's hand) : Mama, is papa going to be alright?!
After the thousands of surgeries Sakura had performed throughout her career as head of the medical department, Sakura knew that Sasuke was quickly slipping away from her. So she tried to stay compose and figured out how she could tell Sarada in a way that she could prepare herself emotionally and mentally if the worst scenario happens.
- Sakura : Listen... Sarada. As a Shinobi, we need to prepare ourselves physically, mentally and emotionally if the worst happens. I need you to stay strong...... ok.
- Sarada (watery eyes) : What do you mean??!
- Sakura : Please remain calm ok, I'm trying to focus here. Just hold papa's hand tightly and don't let it go ok. (Sakura gives Sarada a fake smile trying to comfort her daughter)
- Sakura's internal log : His heart & lungs are destroyed.. along with other internal organs are in severe condition. At this rate ... Don't think about that, calm down. You got this. Think positive.
Sasuke's solid will to survive managed to give him some strength to hold Sarada's hand and barely open his eye to see the two of them in a sorrow state.
- Sasuke (Struggling to talk) : It's okay.... Sakura, that's enough. Thank you. (Blood flows out from his mouth)
- Sakura: No, please don't say that.
- Sasuke: I'm sorry... for everything. I should've... spend more time with you two.
- Sakura : Don't move ok, everything will be fine..... We're here with you dear.
- Sarada (sobbing while resting her forehead on her father's hand) : Papa !! I'm sorry.. I'm really sorry.. If I was there at that time, none of this would have happened!!.
Sasuke raised his 2 fingers and poked Sarada's forehead.
- Sasuke (finger poking Sarada's forehead) : Be the first Uchiha.... to become hokage. I believe in you, my precious daughter. Take care of mother & protect this village. I will always watch over you.
- Sarada : Papa.. Why do you say that..
- Sasuke to Sakura : Thank you Sakura. For... loving me all this time since we're in the chunin exams.
- Sasuke to both of them : I love y...
Sakura's operatives rushed to try to bring Sasuke back while Sakura just stood there helpless with her confused reaction. Sarada on the other hand hugged his lifeless body while screaming in panic, upset as she remembered the moments they had together as a family.
