After the meeting ended, Kawaki went to the hokage's office to tell them about it but only Shikamaru was there at the time so Kawaki told him about it.. Unfortunately Shikamaru didn't believe it. Kawaki slams the door & goes home. On the way home, he thought if he should go on ahead with his plan to tell Naruto about it since Shikamaru didn't believe him. Kawaki also does the same and tries to tell Sarada but the result remains the same. Sarada just shot back at Kawaki saying "Why are they trying to kill the Hokage? Besides, do you really think that the Feudal Lords would allow that to happen?" Kawaki was disappointed in all of them and questioned their hearts to trust and believe in their friends.
Arriving at home and opening the door, Hinata greeted him and took the ramen he had bought for Naruto earlier. Hinata then realized that something was bothering her beloved son. Hinata then asked Kawaki what's wrong?. He then tells her about Kazuya's plan but she just smiles back at him and says:
- Hinata : Don't worry Kawaki, nothing will happen.. maybe you misheard their conversation.
(She said this because Himawari is beside her. She doesn't want to worry her.)
(Kawaki was surprised that his own mom doesn't believe in him.)
- Kawaki internal logue : What! Even mom doesn't even believe in me?! At this rate, even if I told Nanadaime about it, would he believe me?
Hinata placed the ramen that Kawaki bought on the tray and handed it to Kawaki to give to Naruto. Kawaki wants to know why Hinata split the ramen into 2 bowls.
- Kawaki : Huh? Why did you divide it into 2 bowls?
- Hinata (smiles) : You will soon see why. Now, go on son. Before it gets cold.
While Kawaki headed upstairs to deliver the ramens to Naruto. He was very worried that if he told Naruto about Kazuya's plan, Naruto might not believe him either. He then knocked on the door and entered Naruto's room.
- Naruto : Ohh. Hey there son..
- Kawaki : Umm. I've bought you your favourite ramen.
Naruto saw that the tray had 2 bowls of ramen and immediately knew why Hinata did it. (it shows & implies that Kawaki has something to discuss with him)
- Naruto : Ahaa. I get it..
- Kawaki : Huhh? Get what??
- Naruto (grabs 1 bowl) : Here (slightly pushes another bowl from the tray towards Kawaki), 1 for me & 1 for you. Let's eat together.
- Kawaki (sit and pick up chopsticks) : ummm..
- Naruto (while eating) : So, how was your day today?
- Kawaki (playing with the food) : Everything's fine.
- Naruto : Are you sure son?
- Kawaki (anxious & hesitant to tell Naruto for fear he won't believe him) : umm. Yeah, nothing to worry about.
- Naruto (smiles) : Come on.. There's a reason why mom puts ramen in 2 bowls, ya know.
- Kawaki internal logue : So, that's why she did it huh.. Shit.. I'll just tell him about Kazuya's plan. And it's best for me to act on my own with the Code situation. Since I know that it will be harder for me to hide him if he knows. Furthermore, Nanadaime will not sit still and will not leave the villagers, we don't have time to move and save them all.
- Naruto : Son.. Now then, tell me.
- Kawaki : This past afternoon, I've snuck into Kazuya & the elderly's meetup.
- Naruto : Oh, you mean Kazuya, the president of of AIBO?? Why??.
- Kawaki (takes a deep breath) : They plan to kill you within days. For him to take your place. Since they know your current condition is not strong enough to hold the position of Hokage and you are not as strong as you used to be. Afraid that if there is another level of threat like Jin Otsutsuki, you will not be able to protect the village. Thus, making this nation look weak.
- Naruto (slurps the ramen) : And?
- Kawaki : They were also sure that you probably still kept the shinobi way of doing things. As it would endanger the lives of shinobi instead of relying on their new future cyborg army.
Kawaki anxiously waited for Naruto's opinion on whether he believed his information or not.
- Naruto : Well, I'm afraid the age of shinobi will die out soon if we rely too much on those new cyborgs. And it will make the next generation of shinobi weaker because the new technology will replace their high-risk tasks. But, if that happens, If the technology falls into the wrong hands, the next generation of shinobi won't be able to stop it.
- Kawaki : No! Are you not listening? That's not what I care about the most! It's about those who try to kill you soon.
- Naruto (smiles back with a thumbs up) : Oh. That part huh.. Don't worry. I am still strong & powerful ya know. I will always be on the lookout ok. After all, I have you to protect me.
- Kawaki : Huh?? So...you...believe in me?
- Naruto : Huh? Well, why would my son lie to me.. After all, why would I not believe in my own son?
- Kawaki : Whaa.. Why are you so relaxed with it?!
- Naruto : What's the use of freaking out? Best thing is to remain calm and always be on guard. While trying to find a solution for it. Plus...
- Kawaki : What?
- Naruto (smile) : I have you.. I know and believe you will try your best to protect me peacefully without bloodshed.
- Kawaki internal logue : He's the only one who believed in me when others didn't. Kurama was right all this time, he has a pure heart more than anyone else. (Kawaki thought back to when Naruto taught him to appreciate something, especially a person's heart). I'm glad that I have met you. No matter what, I will sacrifice anything to protect you. Because.. a world without you (A pure heart like Naruto) means nothing to me.
