CHAPTER 54 : THE 8th HOKAGE

THE NEXT AFTERNOON

(3 DAYS LEFT BEFORE ARMAGEDDON)

Kawaki is about to go out getting some lunch. Eida & Daemon finally arrive at the house carrying his sister on his shoulder.

Kawaki then ask Daemon what happened? He then replies back with "She got carried away dammit". Both Kawaki & Sarada smell alcohol from her suspecting that she's drunk. Nishi on the other hand is nervously trying to come up with an answer to Shikamaru preparing that he will ask later what just happened to them last night.

A flashback showing both Daemon & his sister's activities during the night. They were watching movies in the cinema while the audience were watching Eida, captivated by her charm. Then they went to the casino at the new city located above the Hokage stone faces (Tsunade's favorite gambling place). The casino cash out counter then gave her some money rewards to Eida but she gave some of it away to Nishi and his team who is guarding both of them. The scene then shows Nishi and his team were having tough times trying to hold down the civilians that were mesmerized by Eida & chased her during them went shopping after that then went to a fancy restaurant.

- Daemon to Kawaki & Sarada : So that's basically what happened. I'd never expect your village to have so many cool activities to do. You're one lucky bastard to experience this type of comfortable life.

- Kawaki replies : Like I care.. Never have I've done something like that.

- Daemon : Whaaa??!! You're really a weirdo. (Baffled that Kawaki never done activities like that before)

- Kawaki : Anyways.. I'm heading out.

- Nishi asks : Where are you going???

- Kawaki : None of your business.. (Walks away, Nishi then task half of his team to follow Kawaki)

During him buying several bags of Taiyaki at the store, he noticed majority of the villagers still looking at him like he's an outsider and are whispering to each other as they passed by him. Annoyed by what he saw, he then goes to Ichiraku to grab some meal there.

While he's having his ramen in the restaurant, he noticed that all of the customers in the restaurant are locking their attention at the news in the TV restaurant. He then also turns his attention to it and was shocked what he saw. The news delivers a breaking news saying Naruto has resigned as the seventh Hokage. The news then reveals that Kazuya will be the next 8th Hokage and will be taking the role of the 8th Hokage tomorrow. He then began to hear several customers in the restaurant were gossiping saying "serves the seventh right for responsible killing their loved one's during their mission, it's time for change, finally we have a true powerful Hokage" & several more.

Kawaki's blood instantly boiled and he stabs the chopsticks on the table aggressively. Everyone now turns their attention to him while gossiping. Kawaki the shouts at them saying "All of you never appreciate the seventh for his sacrifices to the nation!!!". One of customers then replies back with "Yeah, by sacrificing my friends life when he tasked them to went on a mission".

The moment Kawaki slams the chopsticks on the table making it shaking, the scene switches to Hinata washing the dishes and suddenly dropped a plate to the floor and cracks it. She then felt weird from her reflexes.

SCENE CUTS BACK TO KAWAKI

- Kawaki : They chose to be a Shinobi. They know the risk & consequences of it.

- The customer : But why does it have to be my friends that suffers the fate of it?!

- Kawaki : Still. The Hokage endure more pain.
